Crime Another Shooting, Multiple Victims: I-75 in Kentucky

You’re a liar that’s not what he said, if you’re gonna quote someone at least quote them accurately.

JD Vance: “I don’t like that this is a fact of life”.

Is there something wrong or inaccurate about what he said?
Well, yes.
Calling it a “fact of life” implies that it’s unchangeable, and I don’t think that’s true. It’s comes off as dismissive of the problem.

Great idea, take the guns away. That way ONLY the CRIMINALS will have them. Great fkin idea
<22>

There are 400 million guns in this country. Even if certain types of guns were banned, even if we could somehow round all of those types of guns that are in circulation up and melt them into a puddle, we will never be at a point where only the criminals have guns. It’s just not realistic at all.

Which guns should they ban? The ones used in most crimes?

How does it imply that it’s unchangeable?

“I hate that this is a fact of life” simply implies that he hates that this stuff happens. He follows this up by saying “we have gotta bolster security in our schools”, so not only is he not claiming it’s unchangeable, he’s even offering a solution for changing it.

So yeah you’re as dishonest as those so called journalists, there was absolutely nothing wrong with what he said, you’re just looking to misrepresent his comments because he’s on the other team.

Did they catch him ?

I wonder if he’s trying to be like the DC sniper , that was a crazy set of events
My first thoughts as well.
These types of mentally unstable people often emulate and fantasize about similar mass killings. Like the copy cat school shooters that idolize the 2 columbine POS(s).

Notice they identified the shooter here but not in the Chicago subway shooting or New York parade shooting-no descriptions or anything. Weird

Getting close to an election, it's full court press time. Any story of a white person shooting someone is going to be national news.
Is it the police that are responsible for releasing the name of the suspect or is it the media? I'd think it would be the police so using this line of thought it's police departments across the country that are withholding information to get Harris elected. Fucking libtarded ass cops.

Yea there really should be an agreed upon rule the shooters identity should not be shown.
I think some of those type of people will just take their own life instead of this being mad at the world and the world will know my name know attitude

It's the medias job to report it. Sometimes they don't.

Multiple people were shot Saturday along Interstate 75 in a rural area of southeastern Kentucky, in what is still an active shooter situation. A person of interest has been identified, but is considered armed and dangerous. Multiple people hurt, some from being shot and others from car accidents that ensued. No casualties as of now.

Hopefully no one is seriously hurt, and everyone who is injured recovers fully and quickly.

Are we ready to start passing some common sense firearm regulations, or shall we just keep thinking and praying in vain?
Do you mean ARs, or an outright ban on all guns?

I couldn't find what he actually used here

That is LITERALLY the definition of a "fact of life:"

"something that must be accepted as true and unchanging, even if it is unpleasant."

There is absolutely something wrong with what he said. No matter how bad you wish there weren't. He said it to be dismissive of children dying due to the prevalence of guns in the US. You are backing up that notion by lying about the meaning of what he said. He said what he said, and it means what it means. And his proposed solutions are about as useful as his suggestion that child care cost should be addressed by people asking their parents to watch the kids.

I see @Sinister already replied, but that is in fact the definition of “fact of life.”

Wrong, I would consider myself right of center and I would support both of those solutions.

Can you point to where any republicans are proposing these measures?

It’s seems like something republicans agree to in the aftermath of a shooting just to seem they like give a fuck but then they don’t vote for it or ask their leaders for it.

So you don’t believe that making a place more secure would make it more secure??

Anyway, a bit besides the point, the fact that he’s proposing any solution whether you agree with it or not, by definition this disproves your theory that he is implying there is nothing that can be done about it.

I don’t know if they are, I don’t live in the states, and I own several guns but had to go through a process that got me the permit to possess them and I think it’s a perfectly reasonable policy.
