It used to be the cops would hide fucked up suicides and death by stupitity to spare the family but in this age of law suits that's no longer possible which is why I believe the kid died in an accident.

^^^ I tend to think it was an accident, too. But for different reasons -- no teenage boy who's gonna get into autoerotic asphyxiation is gonna do it on a noisy piece of exercise equipment in the middle of a freakin' breezeway while their parents are home.

You know, if somebody were really high, or drunk, or just stupid, I can see how they might get the idea to see how far they could bend one of the tension bars on a Bowflex, just for shits and giggles.

And I suppose if somebody did that they might lose their grip and get hit really hard in the throat, face or head with the end of the bar. That might be enough to kill someone, or at least knock them unconscious, perhaps to die from suffocation or whatever.

I can tell you guys stories about the weird way some people have died. Dying really is pretty easy when you think about. I saw a kid die once when he impaled himself on a volleyball net peg.
