Another Fake Hate Crime Exposed - what's going on?

Agreed. But it depends on how you are skeptical. The ability to be objectively and professionally skeptical is becoming a lost art.

You would not be called a racist for being quietly and internally skeptical. You probably would not even be called a racist for asserting more information is needed. 'Man-that sounds bad-but I think I am going to wait for all the facts before forming any conclusions."

I am not suggesting this is right or fair, but the majority of people who are being considered racist for their skepticism are being what I refer to as 'obnoxiously skeptical'. One of the key traits of an obnoxious skeptic is that they obfuscate the larger, more critical truth (a lot of racism going around) with a smaller, less critical truth (there are some people making shit up). One way to avoid doing this is to acknowledge the larger more critical truth before making your point.

Jesus, look at all the mental gymnastics you have to go through when you could just open your eyes and see the reality of our world. Does your programming really deny you the ability to be objective in any capacity?

I feel sorry for you.

I wouldn't cite that as an example of a right wing hoax hate crime. This woman is not right wing.
Are you incapable of reading? If not, keep reading my posts before you mention something I already responded to.

what's going on here? why are we seeing all these fake hate crimes?

do people want attention and are desperate to become victims?

its quite terrible because it now casts a doubt on all hate crimes as so many of them are turning out to be hoaxes

Because actual real racism in America is so hard to come by, it has to be faked.

It’s the same reason they invented “unconscious bias” and micro aggressions. Racism is so minute a problem that it must viewed through a microscope on an unconscious level. Oh, you may think you’re not a racist, but deep down inside you are, even if you don’t know it.

What's frustrating is I attempt to have a meaningful dialogue about this and the thread goes silent. You post this hyperbolic, hysterical, generalization of a side you oppose and then make a significant claim with absolutely no substance or source. Then everyone else parrots that shit because you guys only want this place to be an echo chamber for your own views.

And the irony is y'all will claim it's the left who are reactionary, it's the left who demonize those who don't fully agree, and it's the left who don't want to engage in a conversation but only want to about their views over others.
No not at all. This isn't hyperbole at all. I've watched weinstein and another professor discuss this. They would say that the way the anti racism movement would be characterized as a religion. It basically checks all the boxes. Just because you don't like my opinion which is that of brett weinstein, that doesn't mean it's untrue.
BLM anti racism is a religion and should be viewed and treated as so.

As I said, it's s religion. Despite so much evidence supporting how wrong the anti racism cult is, they can't and in fact won't see it. There's a few leftist here that see it. But guys like cooks1 and brackis1 are so far gone, you'll never be able to reach them. They've reached Tom Cruise level of detachment

In all your frothing, have any of you, in your "It's all dah hate crimes!!!" nonsense, actually acquainted yourself with the numbers on white nationalist membership, or the numbers contrasting genuine hate crimes and hate crime hoaxes?

The numbers in no way support your opinions, and make you sound legit insane.........

It's a religious experience to be on the receiving end of s hate crime. They are very rare so they have to be manufactured

It's just narcissism. Recent advances in technology has allowed them to be more bold in action which leads their antics to be seen more often through recordings. Fortunately this also allows their plans to be foiled just as quickly.

I believe I already posted this in this thread, but again.

https://thebulwark.com/hate-crime-hoaxes-are-real-but-so-are-hate-crimes/
Hate Crime Hoaxes Are Real. But So Are Hate Crimes.
America is too big, too populous, and too diverse for hate-related violence to be an either-or situation.

"Fake hate crimes are definitely a reality. Wilfred Reilly, associate professor of political science at Kentucky State University, documents more than 400 such hoaxes in the past four years in his upcoming book, Hate Crime Hoax. In a recent USA Today column, Reilly writes that two other researchers have compiled separate, though partly overlapping, lists of more than 300 incidents each. (Reilly, who is African-American, is unabashedly partisan in his approach; his book, published by the conservative Regnery outfit, is subtitled “How the Left Is Selling a Fake Race War.”) To Reilly and other conservative pundits, this amounts to nothing less than a hate-crime hoax epidemic.

The liberal counterargument is that fake hate crimes are a tiny fraction of all reported hate crimes, of which the FBI records 6,000-7,000 annually and which seem to have been on the rise in recent years. If Reilly’s count is accurate, and even if we add another 200 incidents from the other two lists he mentions, that would still mean about 2 percent of hate-crime reports turn out to be fabricated. Clearly, progressives say, our main concern should not be with hoaxes but with real hate crimes—and our default position should be to believe people who say they have been victimized by bigots."

You've swung at a tee without a ball. Crappy. But lol at that weirdo whose videos you think make good points.

Have you ever seen some of those GoFundMe's? Especially if you get mentioned on the news or something, you're in the money.

Real racism is terrible but we don't have enough of it now to fill the demand, so we get this. It's telling that many of the people claiming these hoaxes are the most privileged people to ever live. An actor, a NASCAR driver, a College student, et al. To be an American, of any color, attending an American University in 2020, is the definition of privilege. But, when you are constantly told that you are a victim, you feel not quite whole when you have not experienced racism. So, let's make it up.

The signs say "all lives matter" and "you don't belong here".

Even if someone else left them there, who cares? What is the crime? Littering?

The more and more media keeps publishing piddly garbage like this, the less fucks I give.

P.S. please stop saying "hate crime". What is that? Is it the opposite of a "love crime"?

It was being investigated as a hate crime

I presume the crime would be harassment as he claimed it was on going and the last note had the n word

I thought this thread was gonna be about the cops who got their milkshakes poisoned

What are you talking about with a supply and a demand?

I've posted this three times now, and nobody seems to want to actually address this analysis, choosing to behave as if we're seeing a rise in hate crimes on some appreciable level:

"Fake hate crimes are definitely a reality. Wilfred Reilly, associate professor of political science at Kentucky State University, documents more than 400 such hoaxes in the past four years in his upcoming book, Hate Crime Hoax. And another one. We really need a mega thread for these.

A Pennsylvania city employee who called police in January to report a noose she found on her desk is now accused of having placed it there herself.

On Jan. 10, LaTarsha Brown called the Allentown Police Department and reported that she found what she believed was a noose on her desk on the third floor of Allentown City Hall when she arrived at work that morning, police said. It's not clear what Brown's job with the city is.

Police shared a picture of the noose with NBC News; it appears to be miniature and made with black thread.

LOL @ wanting the investigation to be stopped after requesting the investigation. Of all the signs one can give of being guilty, that's gotta be #1.
