At the 43:30 mark Marcel & Adam state the main events for UFC 320, 321, & 322. I believe Marcel is one of the most reliable sources in all of MMA, particularly when it comes to announcing fights.

Tom vs Gane for Abu-Dhabi makes sense given the Volkov/Jailton announcement. Hope the UFC does something similar for MSG by booking Brady vs Shavkat under JDM/Islam.

Thoughts aside from true if huge?

Alex vs Ank should be reserved for the final fight. The two current top fighters of UFC ... I don't think anyone in the roster can beat them, tbh

Poatan is 38 now
His chin didn't look good vs Ank
He had massive problems with the southpaw stance, being a left hooker
Couldn't pull the trigger on his straight right, which should be his main weapon

An age to get knocked out at. Even for LHW

Even worse, it won't be a 4 weeks Ramadan this time.

He fought with Norovirus... He nearly pulled out of the fight. Imagine fighting vs Ankalaev with Norovirus and having a pretty close fight? Norovirus causes dehydration, fatigue, muscle stiffness... Which many fighters noticed in Pereira. Jiri said the same thing, that Alex was hurt or sick. It's not his age. It was him saying the UFC in 2024 with two short notice fights and pushing into the Rountree fight even tho he had a bad rib and was on antibiotics. Now vs Ankalaev with Norovirus, he couldn't pull off the win. When he's healthy, he's still the #1 pfp. I mean it.

Btw, like I've said, those are all rumors... Pereira is likely fighting Tom Aspinall firstly. It's meaningless to put on this weight if he doesn't have a HW fight. Ankalaev is even saying they can fight next year (Ank might want the second belt). It was said anyways — Whether Alex wins or loses, he's fighting for the HW title... He fought when sick and injured vs Ankalaev but if he didn't, he'd likely have won and then he'd fight Jiri 3 or wtv. He has a code of only moving up when he has no longer the belt. Like when he went to LHW. He lost the rematch to Adesanya. He didn't go to LHW with the belt. Sometimes he even prefers fighting in unfavorable situations as he wanted to fight in HW for a while now...

There's no name there other than Tom and Pereira if JJ retires... Pereira gets the belt (likely imo) and would have like 3 defenses, since if he beats Tom, there's no one who can beat him unless JJ comes back. But like I've said here, I think Pereira is the one who can beat anyone. Soon enough I think this will be more clear.
