Anime and Manga v40: Repeated Thread Necromancy Edition

Found the uncensored version and am watching the first episode. I know it's going to be a cheese fest but I am loving it already. So given that this is so short, are there any other demon/monster girl romances out there that are worth watching?
The Yuragi no Yuuna-san (aka Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs) manga fits the bill, dunno if it has an anime adaption or not.

Dragon Ball Super Broly

Visually stunning , hands the Down the prettiest Dragon Ball has ever looked.

Story was subpar , and some of Jokes and subplots sucked. I liked this Version of Broly and look forward to what else they have in store.
I read it was a rebooted Broly. Was the rebooted part shitty?

Is there a Japanese anime where Cammy from Street Fighter is the main character?

I prefer this. Broly in the old one was jist this Mindless character, this one they leave it open almost Tabula Rasa , you can see the influences from his father early but it isn't too late for him to be affected by other characters.

Yeah. Original Broly was just this angry retard who hates Goku for whatever retard reason. No idea what Tabula Rasa is.

Empty slate theory , Im not going in depth but Basic idea isthat how you are raised and how circumstances can shape who you become , this Broly is brought up by a harsh father but there we get glimpses that his childhood isn't all bad as he explains why he is wearing that fur garb around his waste, this Broly is still fairly primitive but he isn't the Murderous Retard from the previous versions.

Been using these Otaku threads to get great anime suggestions, so far so good. Now I need some recommendations Looking for something. Looking for a romance where a normal dude falls for some chick who is clearly different. Like she is like a monster or demon or something like that. Good action would be great as well. Also, T&A is appreciated as I need more files for my spank bank.

Girlfriend is a Rokurokubi, Youkai Shoujo Monsuga, and Jitsu wa Watashi Wa.

Forgot to include this in my picture.

You animals need to watch/read Reincarnated as a Slime. I recommend actually buying the Volumes since they include some MST3K styled chapters from Veldora's pov along with some omakes. They're hilarious. In due season, this'll become one of the next major series given how well it sold in 2018.

Tate no yuusha no nariagari:The Rising of The Shield Hero episode one just came out.

Looks like they’ll be going off the LN. Looking forward to rest of the season being animated. Manga is pretty good too.

I enjoy the manga and would watch this if I ever bothered to watch anime, but the LN's writing is garbage. The prose is just absolute shit. It's written with the voice of some edgelord fuckup but has the vocabulary and sentence structure of a young kid's book. If I had tried the LN before the manga I NEVER would have tried the manga, it really is that bad.

Never read the LN myself. Only the manga. Hopefully it turns out good.

And Peerless Dad starts up again soon. So looking forward to that too.

I ended up buying the first volume of the LN thinking it was the manga. Was really disappointed when it showed up but decided to read it anyways. Ugh, probably my worst purchase of the year.

I've heard a LOT of things about the series. Very few of them make me want to pick it up in any major capacity. Like stuff that was written by a massive edgelord with lots of women problems that was bullied by the popular kids.

Bummer. If you like I can give you some good recs to wash away the pain. Bakarina, Duke's Daughter, Undead Adventurer, and Konosuba to start...and pretty much finish since everything else I've rec'd at some point.

That's not an inaccurate description of parts of the series. And I don't like those parts, but there's enough other stuff I like that I can put that aside.

I've added the rest to my bookmarks and will try them in the next week or two, but there's like four different versions of Kono Subarashii. Demystify this for me.

It's the Blazing Saddles or Spaceballs of the isekai genre. It's like DnD with the dumbest fucking idiots who pettily fuck each other over or are just so bad that it's HILARIOUS to watch the fumble their way to...SOMETHING.

Main series here: https://mangadex.org/title/13720/kono-subarashii-sekai-ni-shukufuku-wo

Normally I'd say it's fine to just do the LN or manga, but no. Not here. This you need to anime as well. As an aside, Bakarina is getting an anime soon as well and the other two are good solid manga and LN's.

I only read a few manga before, despite having watched anime on and off since I was a kid, and having read American comics for several years, but I've been reading more recently.

5 out of 10 volumes into barefoot gen

2 out of 7 into nausicaa of the valley of the wind

16 volumes into berserk

1 volume into one Piece

There are several more I have my eye on, some of which have anime adaptations I was also interested in. I'm not sure if I want to start with the manga or anime, so I'd like to hear what any of you have to say about these:

monster

flowers of evil

one punch man

Meanwhile my anime viewing is a mess. It's going to take me forever just to finish all the shows I've already started.

15 episodes into when they cry

15 into fist of the north star

62 into rurouni kenshin

7 into space battleship yamato

56 into urusei yatsura

33 into dragon ball

1 into macross

3 into mobile suit zeta gundam

Series I completed recently are goblin slayer, attack on titan seasons 2 and 3, and made in abyss.

I'm also very slowly making my way through the films and series of some of the great directors of anime, so far including rintaro, kawajiri, otomo, miyazaki, takahata, oshii, yuasa, and hosoda.

2018 was the first year I sort of kept track of new releases, so here's a reading/rating of what I've seen.

10: Goblin Slayer (6/10)
9: Attack on Titan 3 (7/10)
8: S.S.S.S. Gridman (7/10)
7: Hinamatsuri (8/10)
6: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (8/10)
5: Devilman Crybaby (8/10)
4: Bloom Into You (9/10)- don't judge me...
3: Zombieland Saga (9/10)
2: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The Golden Wind (9/10)
1: Rascal does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai (10/10)- ridiculous name, but brilliant.
