Ooh, thanks for the heads-up. I had moved it over to my "yearly" reading list due to the lack of updates, now I'll have to put it back on the regular list.
 
Toriko has one more chapter. Good seeing all the past ingredients and adventures. Midora's reunion was great to close out the chapter.

Overall part 1 was 8.5/10.

Part 2 was 5/10.

Obviously the last chapters was rushed but not totally butchered.

Just one more chapter...It was good knowing you Toriko.
 
Only one left? Huh, might have to force myself to finish it, I think I'm only like ~20-30 chapters behind.
 
I never got into it but I expected Toriko to last longer then this, I know JUMP! was trying to push to be the next big thing but don't think it ever did at least to their expectations.
 
Toriko didn't have the Fan service to hook you in Takun
 
So now Ippo is wearing weights on his ankles and wrists.

Also to address heavyarms, I didn't like the art, not saying it was bad but just didn't do enough for me.

I liked that it was a different style , overall tone was over the top so the Mnagaka tried to convey that , even more over the top than most overpowered Shonen types , the ending was rushed and it prevented to Story from being better but the penultimate chapter was fairly Satisfying to me since I actually invested to some of my time to read this Manga consistently .
 
Didn't read Toriko as I never really got into it, but ending and so soon really makes me sad. It just never feels very good to see something come to an end.

Except for Bleach. It needed to end. Just terrible.

Thinking Berserk,Ippo or HiatusXHiatus will ever end..they'll be cloning those bastards in a couples years...Hajime no Ippo issue 3305 and some how Ippo just just be turning like 27
 
With this last chapter of God of High School I am fucking done. The series has had some majorly absurd bits before, but they just jumped the shark. Big time. So dumb.
 
Hmm that's a surprise I know over the past however long you always seemed to be really high on God of Highschool. what was the nail in the coffin, I'm ok with spoilers of course.

My opinion had been that it was a fun bit of mostly mindless action that made good use of its color format. Unfortunately things sort of spiraled out of control in this last arc culminating in
a dude dropping Mars into the Earth...and then another dude upstaging that by dropping Jupiter. Yes, the fucking planets. And it wasn't a "fuck yeah!" moment, it was a "what the fuck?" moment. Sooooooooooooooo stupid.
 
Not sure how I feel about that to be honest lol

so 50/50 this new guy that appeared gets run over by Ippo in the first round using the "new" Dempsey roll.
