Anime and Manga v37

Well. Here we are. v37. v36 took a whopping 316 days to fill up (the historical average has been ~50). Soooooo...expect that this may very well be the last iteration of these threads.

My Anime watching has been relegated to watching bits and pieces from YouTube, because I don't have the patience to sit through whole episodes anymore. Though I have been catching the latest episodes of Dragon Ball Super ( Didn't Watch the episodes that covered the movie arcs).

Reading Manga has been here and there . Some of the ones I still read out of habit are One Piece, Bleach and Toriko. Since there is only 13 chapter for Dragon Ball Super , caught those too. Recently Marathon read the last 30 chapters of Hajime no Oppo and Berserk and good lord those two are no where near being done.

Out of suggestions from the last version of this thread Kingdom and Shokugeki no Soma have been ones I've wanted to start along with 7 deadly sins.

Soma (aka Food Porn) and Kingdom are two of my current favorites. The artwork in Kingdom starts off so-so, with some of the character art being a little wonky, but it gets better as the series progresses and the characters get older.

Pleasantly Surprised that the Manwha Noblesse got an Anime OVA , it doesn't have the best story ? But the Battles are pretty grand , would like to see it get a full season Order .

Food porn anime returns the 2nd of July I believe...so that'll be nice to have that again. my anime watching has pretty much stagnated.

Been watching

Bt'x & Bt'x Neo: Classic 80ies mecha anime. It's by the same author as Saint Seiya, and it has a no-nonsense approach. Pretty much the whole of Bt'X has the protagonist battle one badass villain after another. 7.5/10

Death Parade & Death Billiards: God-tier show. Explores the dark side of the human psyche, and the presentation is amazing. The story takes place in a bar, somewhere between death and the afterlife, and it's up to the arbiters to judge people based on their behavior in games upon which the participants' lives are staked. This is why I watch anime. 10/10

Try Death Parade & Ajin.

I liked Ajin thought about checking out death parade but never did. Watched The boy and the beast this weekend which was better then I thought it would be solid 8. Good movie to watch with the kids as well. Arslan is coming back soon can't wait for that to start back up.

Everybody should be reading Golden Kamuy and Oldboy. In case it's not obvious, yes JBS this is a request for reviews. They're awesome reads tho.

Been a while since I've read any manga. I'm currently going through the old Uncanny X-Men comics. Read everything from 1963 up and I'm in the 1990's now. Jim Lee era.

Last anime I watched was Gundam: The Iron Blooded Orphans. It was just okay. I'm more of a Universal Century fan, not so much the alternate universes in the Gundam franchise.

Also watched the latest Gundam: The Origin which was beautiful and has plenty of Zeon and Feddy eye-porn in it.

Might switch gears and watch something Macross-related next. But I hear nothing lives up to the original SDF or Macross Plus (both of which I've watched and loved) so I haven't decided yet.

I REALLY need to watch Macross. I used to watch Robotech back when they aired it on Cartoon Network and I fucking HATE IT with a passion now since it means we got cheated out of ever having that dubbed over here.
