Anime and Manga v37

Don't think he did it to himself, but it is curious as to what happened. The fact that he and his friend were Russian Ainu makes it more curious. And I agree about the Kenshin thing which never escapes me. Kenshin would be like a precursor since it takes place near the beginning of the Meiji Era and this takes place at it's end.

Edit: Another thing I love is the Gray and Gray Morality where all the parties involved have valid reasons with some degree of altruism for being involved.

Yep, although an allegiance between the Shinsengumi/prisoners and the 7th division wouldn't have been far off if they (as in the Shinsengumi) hadn't allied themselves with the traitor of the 7th division. They seem to want the same thing in a way. To build some sort of nation or the very least a private army that doesn't answer to the current government.

Maybe. Tsurumi(the 7th Division guy), seems to want to build a militarized nation bringing in the families of the soldiers an giving them work and bring in people from off the island while the Shinsengumi guys seem to want to build up from the disenfranchised locals to oust the Japanese Government. Sugimoto's group simply wants the gold to help Umeko and give it back to it's rightful owners for them to do as they see fit.

I got a decent phone and want to finish berserk, reading it online is bad. too many ads. Is there an app everyone agrees is the best place to read manga?

anybody been watching the new berserk series?

Yea I'm not liking the animation. Last two episodes have been pretty boring as well. The first 2-3 three were ok and decent enough. At the end of the day I'm holding out hope it gets better and I'm just glad to see Berserk back on TV. Don't know how long it will last with this level of writing though.

I got Ad Browser. It cleans most of the ads and pop-ups you may get. You can use it instead of whatever browser you are using now.

So final chapter of Bleach incoming... interesting.

i'm enjoying mob psycho 100. wish the creator would finish OPM; srs left me saddened

What's the over/under that it was all a dream under Aizen's Bankai?

This would be magnificent. Such a massive cock slap across the face to everyone who has loyally stayed with the series.

anime is saved.

I'm actually kind of ashamed to admit that the animation looked amazing. Take that comment however you will.

A. I didn't care about the fanservice and all I really cared for were the legitimately nice and amazing animation sequences.

or

B. TITS AND ASS!!!

Edit: Jokes aside, the fan service was CRAZY over the top, but HOLY FUCK were the animation sequences impressive.

Fuuuuccck

Tell me about it. The arcs and sagas have been good, but these breaks have been killing the pacing.

Don't come to Sherdog very often these days, but anytime I do I always check these threads. Lots of good folk here.

Been buying and reading the Monster perfect editions that have been recently released, last one just got delivered to my house. It's such a good series. I'm only about halfway through but I love everything about it. Great characters all around. Definitely going to have to check it out in anime form afterwards, I hear it follows the manga very closely.

Also the 9 perfect editions form a giant collage which I thought was very neat.

On the anime side, Been rewatching Durarara! since they finished uploaded the whole second season on Netflix. Such a fun show to watch, and awesome OPs. Just like with Baccano I love how they introduce all the characters in the OP. Hoping the second season is at as good as the first.
I am about a third of the way through the Monster anime now. Reminds me of Lone Wolf & Cub with the "slice of life" episodes interspersed with the overarching story.

Durarara! I really liked but as far as x2 goes, they added way too many more characters (as though the show needed more) and it definitely suffers for that.

Oh god, they made an anime out of that series???? Ugh, so dumb.
It's Japan my friend , if you ever go there in real life you see the weirdest shit in person , and because of that I am no longer surprised by what they choose to animate.
