Anderson is 1 win away from a title shot.

Anderson will get a crack at the title immediately if he chooses to do so. He's earned that right.

No he doesn't. Fine, he got the rematch because of all the GOAT talk, but no, you don't get an immediate rematch twice. Too many guys gunning for the belt now to be giving out a 2nd rematch to a guy who got KOed and then his leg broken by a perfect check. If he's that hungry, beat a couple of guys first and prove it.

He'll get a title shot if he wants a title shot. If there is any fighter that has earned it, it's The Spider.

He'll get another. Injuries like that to someone like Anderson still gets him a pass.

How many times does CW have to beat Silva before you'll stop posting this kind of nonsense? Regardless of how unlikely an actual leg break may have been, CW was dominating Anderson and he did what he intended, stopped the leg kicks. Injuries end fights and Silva was losing badly in any case. Weidman won, come to terms with it.

If Silva can make a comeback, which I doubt, he will need to earn a title shot.

I guess if you remain a diehard fan of a fighter long enough, you'll eventually embarrass yourself crying over the "What ifs".

But don't feel bad

I know that feel, bro.

vitor will win for sure, and it'll be anderson vs belfort 2

The last fight with Weidman wasn't a conclusive victory IMO.. The fans deserve to see a 3rd fight.

It's not a freak accident when the leg check was intentional.

It kinda of is. How many checked leg kicks occur in the UFC? And how many of them have resulted in leg breaks? Only 2 times out of what I'm guessing is thousands of leg checks.

You're right he should, but this is the UFC and I expect Dana to take full advantage of a big star coming back to a big stage. I would be surprised if Dana said no, earn it.

Weidman beat him fair and square, twice. But this second time was a freak accident that took place. That being said Anderson is definitely coming back. He's already asking where can he train. http://www.mmafighting.com/2013/12/30/5258958/anderson-silva-expected-to-return-to-training-in-six-to-nine-months

That being said, do you think he will get a title shot after 1 win? I think he definitely does. And he will get a relatively easy fight when he comes back.

I think "definitely coming back"is premature. If he does though,I doubt it. I doubt he'd even go for the title.

I think the only way he'd be one win away is if maybe he changed weight classes.

Most guys don't even know how to properly check a leg kick, let alone turning their knee in to the kick.

Anderson needs a warmup fight against a 5th or 6th ranked.

Lets not get to ahead of ourselves here! As much as I want to see Anderson back fighting and going for the title. He just broke his leg 2 days ago and has even started healing.

I'm pretty certain he will come back but let's give it sometime here. See how long it takes, who he will fight and who the champ is
