Amazon Prime

I purchased Amazon Prime today since I've been buying stuff online recently and was wondering what everyone's experience with it has been?

Free 2-Day shipping is pretty awesome. Haven't checked anything else out except the Kindle feature. Disappointed, only because it only works with Kindle devices. I figured it would be fine for my Kindle app. How's the streaming variety? I've got Netflix, so how does it stack up?

It's great for either free shipping or lower 2 day charge. The amazon prime tv is alright but it's just like netflix, it gets old real quick.

Better movies streaming on Prime than anywhere else. Hulu has more network TV shows. I don't see the point of Netflix given the previous two points.

the things u can watch on amazon prime instant video do not compare to netflix what so ever, but there are some things on there that arent bad, typically older stuff.

Really, all you need to do is make a new email every month to get amazon prime for free though.

and if u have a .edu email u get 6 months free.

As far as I know, if you have .edu email address, you qualify for the first 6 months free, then at a discount afterwards ($49). However, I think that the streaming services are not included. Just the 2 day free shipping.

I love Amazon Prime. I'm a huge Amazon junkie. I have Prime, a Kindle, and even the Amazon phone (which despite it's failure to the company..is a fabulous phone)

I picked it up years ago due to it being free 6 months for students, then half price after that. So I paid $40 a year for 4 years and because I bought the Amazon Phone on Black Friday I got a free year of Prime with it. $160 over 5 years for a Netflix equivalent, free 2 shipping (which I use a lot) and free books is a GREAT deal.

Because I have all the Amazon products, for cost effectiveness it doesn't make sense to have Netflix with it. My parents do though, so when I want Netflix I just use their account anyway.

Nope, everything is included. I had it for 4 years. It's just a straight up half-off deal for students.
