Amazon Prime

Oh. Well that blows. Get the kindle. I'm typing this post out on mine. Best investment ever.

I'm broke, haha. I made 100 bucks on a small odd job and was thinking about buying shit on Amazon and then realized I should just invest it on Prime and make up when I order shit. Next time I have a bit of money to spend, a Kindle might be on the list. The access to books is a big perk that I'm kind of upset about missing out on.

the things u can watch on amazon prime instant video do not compare to netflix what so ever, but there are some things on there that arent bad, typically older stuff.

Really, all you need to do is make a new email every month to get amazon prime for free though.

and if u have a .edu email u get 6 months free.

The "free trial" attaches a credit card now, so the email trick doesn't work.

You can get away with putting in a pre-paid visa number, but they check if it's connected to a bank account number and cut it off after a few days too.

I have it and love it. Paid like 50 bucks for a year.

I thought about buying when it was still 75, but wasn't really purchasing anything then, and didn't know about the streaming and shit.

pretty awesome. free shippin & 2 day shipping

i just did this about a week ago using the same credit card i do on all my other accounts

I love Amazon Prime but it's really not much better than AppleTv.

You get some free movies and shipping but you have to pay to subscribe.

AppleTv has a 1x fee, but unlimited options and serves as a portal to other services (Netflix, Hulu, crackle, etc). You do have to pay for all the content tho.

Sometimes I order things with free "2 day shipping" and they arrive 5 days later. That irritates me.

2 day shipping i think means they leave the warehouse within 2 business days. even when u put 2 day shipping, they give you an estimated delivery date that is usually like 1 week.

really? mine always got to me within 2 days of me clicking confirm

Amzon prime is awesome had it for 2 years i have always got my stuff on time.

Love amazon prime. I've been a member for a few years now.

I ended up dropping Netfilx and just use Prime for streaming now. They get new movies on there pretty quick and they have a TON of HBO shows on there, which is exclusive to Prime. I just finished up with a marathon session of Sopranos.

They also have Amazon music, that's included with Prime. I haven't really looked much into it though.

use smile amazon and donate to your charity of choice when you're shopping..

Nope, everything is included. I had it for 4 years. It's just a straight up half-off deal for students.

You may be right. I just had it for the last 6 months, but when I tried streaming, I couldn't get it to work. It wasn't a big deal for me. I just got it primarily to get the 2 day free shipping.

mine never do =/

man i juts realized i forgot to use amazon smile the last couple times i shopped.

dude i think u got ripped off. my stuff always gets here or an amazon locker in 2 days

In the UK it's free nextday shipping on everything, that's all I use it for.
Well, I forgot to cancel my subscription because I never watch movies on it (I only buy movies) so I let my mate setup his own password on it and he uses it for that.

I'm happy with the free ND service tho.

Love it for the free two day shipping. Haven't watched any of their online stuff.

I like to make an Amazon account, activate the 30 day free amazon prime trial, then proceed to order my goods, and finally cancel the subscription when the trial ends as well as stop using the account.

Rinse and repeat cycle whenever I have to order something online as Amazon is the way to go. Just create new email/amazon account which takes a whole minute of your time.

I think someone mentioned that they're wise to that now as you need to use a credit card or debit card for authorization now for a free trial.
So unless you've got 50 cards lying about, that little tightwad scheme has died it's death.

I've noticed on some of the shows you have to buy some episodes which is pretty tight i think..
