Am I the only one who thinks Alexa Grasso got lucky?

Valentina is going to get long in the tooth at some point.
Her game has t really seemed to evolve much over the past few years.

Yes she’s a bad chick, (was) so far ahead of the pack, etc…

So Alexa’s luck might’ve simply been stepping up to the plate after Valentina had so many hours of footage to formulate a gameplan.

Seek help.

Baby youre cute and all but they put you as the main event for a reason and everybody was talking about how if she wins the fights she could be the possible title contender

They put her in that spot and she was supposed to call Valentina Shevchenko out and ask gor that title shot. Ask for the title shot baby, they put u in there for a reason.
Tf?

Now if Fiorot gets a W and call out the champ and they give her the title shot, dont complain the. Youre supposed to play that role baby

Why she didnt do that? She might be scared of a fight with Valentina?

i wouldn't call it luck, credit to grasso for making val get sloppy.

val is the better fighter in my opinion, but she lost it happens.

sometimes the more skilled fighter loses.

Alexa was definitely losing and was on her way to a unanimous decision L, but she spoke about how she trained to counter Val's spinning shit. Alexa tried to counter earlier but didn't time it right, plus she did far more damage than the current women's supposed GOAT did vs Val so deserves a ton of credit.

With that said, I believe Val takes the rematch.

There was no luck involved in what she did, but she was sure as hell getting beaten up and dominated, no matter what people might try to make you believe. Only luck involved is that Valentina used spinning kick for no reason. But other than that, that was perfect execution by Grasso. But yeah, she was losing every round in striking and I don't wanna talk about grappling. Still play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I think Valentina takes it rather easily in a rematch. Santos imposed her game more than Grasso ever did to be honest.

Still, credit to Grasso. How many people would be able to do this, use mistake so efficiently...

She hit Valentina clean in a couple of exchanges in the first round.

Other than she was losing the whole fight (at stand-up too) after that until thay damn failed spinning back kick from Valentina.

She was only winning 1 round, the first one and even that round was very close, I would give it to her only because she got Valentina clean a couple of times.

I don't want to take anything away from Grasso tho, she got a lot of heart and she is tough, she brought the fight to Valentina and she wasn't scared like a lot of other girls but I just feel she got lucky with that finish, am I the only one thinking that way?

With that being said I think she is losing the rematch
Acknowledging that Grasso hit her clean is a great start. Valentina made errors, and she made the errors because she was tired and flustered. Grasso made her tired and flustered and then capitalized on her error of throwing a messy spinning back kick by the fence. Credit where credit is due. "Luck" is an insult to the talents of a fighter.

Not all luck. She was arguably getting the better of the striking exchanges which is why Valentina started mixing in double legs. You usually see her only use upper body trips/throws. She was not so willing to be in the pocket with Grasso which is why you saw that spinning back kick. she wanted her further away from her because she was going to try to double leg her against the cage rather than clinch/throw.

She got lucky, case closed.

While I love Valentina and I thought she's going to smoke Alexa, the fight was very close. By no means was it luck.

Grasso was better than Val on the feet and exposed one of Val's biggest holes; throwing too much spinning shit and weak defense from the back.

You can think she got lucky all you want, but she was objectively a better fighter with a better game plan that night.

It would have been 2-2.

She trained for that move specifically

Maybe shev got lucky grasso didn't practice wrestling enough

I wouldn't call catching a spin kick and monkeying onto a back for a RNC lucky
