Am i missing something?!?

I'm sorry I thought the champion of the division is supposed to be an example of professionalism my mistake complaining just to complain ??? are you feeling okay
Him vacating instead of holding up the division is being a professional. Your op implies he should fight compromised, knowing he may lose. You're a simpleton.

wait so because he doesn't think he can make weight in a healthy manner that gives him the best chance of winning a fight he should feel obliged to first losing before leaving the weight class?

Or you make weight like a professional what is this I don't think I can make weight shit?... are you a professional or not manage your diet make weight ..

It's clearly a cop out so that he doesn't have to fight his contenders and doesn't have to take the chance that he might be depleted from his bullshit weight cuts ...

Its Disrespectful to the contenders coming up... It also cheapens the Bell because now whoever wins the belt they could always say oh he didn't beat topouria so he's not the real 145 champion... All because buddy doesn't want to make weight anymore he doesn't want to manage his shit properly

Yeah or you can make weight as the leader of his division and not cheapen the belt by giving it up because he can't manage his shit you guys are all buying his excuse like he has no control over his own body weight of course he does

He's trying to not pay the price for fighting in a division that he chose to fight in in the first place

I also don't see the logic in ducking any of the top 3 contenders at FW to fight Islam or the other physically bigger contenders at 155.

So that's soft and cowardly there's nothing bad ass about that ...what would have been badass is him going out there on his shield and if he loses he loses and if he wins he wins and then you can say this weight cut is too hard for me I'm coming to 155 and I'm going to take everybody's head

lmao he shoud pass the torch hahahahaa

this isnt pro wrestling this is prize fighting, ya go in there and TAKE everything.

Never seen somebody push so hard for weight cutting

Or he could like manage his weight and not cut so much everyone's acting like these people don't have control of their own body weight ..are people Force feeding these people I don't think so ...they're choosing to be the weight they are ..

That's what makes this excuse so soft he has every way to control his body weight and instead he's choosing to say I'm going to give up my belt and cheapen it for the next guy who wins and be disrespectful to my contenders because I don't feel like putting the work in to be champion anymore

Cowardly to fight guys bigger than the ones he’s fought previously? Pretty strange logic.

Looks like he was making weight fine and not having a negative effect on his performances. Maybe he is just getting ahead of the game?

Is that not the role of a champion to defend the belt as many times you can until you lose it and then take a shot at either regaining it or move on ..

you don't quit ahead of time .. because I don't feel like making weight like a professional
No, you made that up.

Based on your logic, a champ that keeps winning is not allowed to retire because he has to lose first. Makes no sense.

If he wants to make a permanent move to another division then that's his decision. As long as he vacates the title which he did.

It's not about passing the torch it's about playing your role as a champion somebody gave Topuria a chance to be champion by beating the other champion ...what if volk said oh you know what the weight cuts too big for me I'm going to move up... and Topuria never got a shot at the title or won the belt without beating Volk... You already know that the take on sherdog would have been topuria is a paper champ cuz he never beat Volk..Volk probably would have kicked his ass blah blah blah

Instead of paying back to the division that made him a champion in the first place now he creates a situation where the next guy who's champion has to deal with "oh but he didnt beat Topuria, hes champion only because Topuria left"...

If he wants to permanent move to another division than that's his decision. He dropped the belt so there's no reason to whine.

Retirement's different we're not talking about retirement .. everyone has the right to retire when their career is done for them...we're talking about relinquishing your belt for a garbage reason ... Are we going to pretend like Topuria doesn't have control of his own body weight?
