All Time GOAT poll

I kind of soured a little bit on GSP when he went after Bisping
Just seems like he took the easiest path, and I always thought he was cute concerned about his legacy which meant he ended up almost picking fights he knew he could win or playing it safe
Except he cleaned out his division thouroughly. How can you accuse him of playing it safe when he literally beat everyone in his weight class?

They were both older fighters and Bisping was truly a GREAT fighter beating the likes of Silva and Rockhold with one eye too!!!..

The landscape could've looked a whole lot different if USADA had come in earlier as Bisping is known as a clean fighter and an all around tough guy...Bisping never gets the respect on his name like he should, dont get me wrong I'm not suggesting Bisping is the GOAT but he was and is a deserved HOFer...

I mean, I'd pick Jones if not for all the doping allegations and controversy.

Gotta go with GSP. Cleaned out his division and avenged both losses. Came back to win the MW strap.

Everybody in this convo cleaned out his division. Some did by taking chances, delivering excitement and finishing the fight often... while others went to judges consistently.

Lol @ having Aldo but not Conor.

Conor has to be on the list.

He only started losing after he stopped cutting weight to fight much larger men.

99% of fighters have yet to fight naturally.

Khabib retired too early. Only defended the belt 3 times. It's harder to keep the belt then it is to win the belt. 16 of his wins were not in the UFC. I love khabib but he left too soon. GSP played it too safe. Fedor fails because of level of competition. Its jon jones man. It really is. Steroids or no steroids he fought the toughest guys. Period

Aldo went almost 10 years without a loss and defended multiple times. Conor did neither. The fact that he beat Jose doesn't discount that. Conor's biggest feat is capturing 2 belts at the same time. Which is impressive. But he never defended either one.

Having Johnson over Aldo is dishespetchful. He beat mainly men equivalents of soccer moms.
Benavidez, Dodson, Cejudo, Horiguchi - Mighty Mouse had 11 title defences, even with WEC Aldo has like 10 I think?? Soccer moms - go away.

I'd give it to Fedor, GSP and Mighty Mouse
Jones and Silva are absolutely 2 of my favorites and definitely GOATS - Jones is one of the true all time greats. However, both getting popped for juicing does tarnish their legacies.

I think the best way to establish this thread is to separate retired fighters and also weight classes.

But I'll go with Gsp. Not because he was flashy and exciting with his wins. But because he did it in 2 weight classes, I know his fight vs Bisping was cringe but he won vs a real middleweight champ and dominated quite well at ww.

I still think when Serra took Gsp out it was nothing short of awesome. For that, I'll always be a fan of Serra.

For me, 2nd place goes to Anderson Silva. He had an incredible run against a murderers row.

My UFC GOAT list goes by weight class instead since how do you seriously compare Mighty Mouse with Jones. The most dominant fighter would be Khabib in terms of fighting but if I had to pick a GOAT it would probably GSP or Johnson.

By weight class it would go:

FLW - Mighty Mouse
BW - Cruz
FW - Aldo
LW - Khabib
WW - GSP but I think Usman has nearly surpassed him.
MW - Silva but Izzy will surpass him.
LHW - Jones
HW - Stipe

He hugged his leg and wouldn't let go until he tripped. Then he lied on top of him for an entire round, dealing 0 damage just tiring him out.

Pathetic and lame way to fight.
Apparently your definition of cheating is vastly different that what Mr. Webster would say. There was no cheating so you're wrong. Must have missed the part where Khabib was beating Conors face in from the top but ok fair nough. I can understand you turning ur head during that part. And the part where he knocked Conor on his ass in the stand up. If Conmans nuts were any deeper in your mouth, you'd be half way up his torso. Truly sad and pathetic.
