I think he's in most people's top-5 (top-6 at least). But when you ask for 1 name, it's hard for me to elevate him above the others in the discussion. His reign was quietly as long as some of the GOAT candidates, but he doesn't have as many title fight wins as GSP/Jones/Anderson/MM. He wasn't putting on highlight reel displays consistently (at least once the WEC merge and a lot of FA signings brought him better competition). His strength of schedule is good but not as good as a GSP or Jones. And his biggest problem is that Holloway has ARGUABLY already matched (or even bettered) his resume and is still dominant. At a minimum Holloway is already very close to him.

Man, I won't say that MM wouldn't be good in heavier divisions, but this question is always on line when we talk about smaller fighters. Many people believe that they have great skills and if they become bigger they will keep these skills. In my view this is not quite possible. Still- Mighty Mouse is very good, if not the best. Jon Jones makes his fights look easy and boring against guys who are on the highest ranks in the division. And that is why my personal choice is Jon Jones. Good or bad, the guy just dominates his opponents.

I started to watch MMA due to Fedor, he was very dominant (10 years undefeated) and a REAL mixed martial artist (a complete fighter). A fact that always surprised me was that he was very small for his weightclass but he still beat everybody up. I like to saw how all his oponents were way bigger than him (he always fought in heavyweight) and he still handled them, I mean he was really really amazing !!!

And GSP, WOW! That man is gold! He was dominant and a real mixed martial artist too and then he come back after 4 years retired and go up to other weight class beating a champion way bigger than him.

In my opinion Fedor is the greatest heavyweight ever, we can say that he is the stronger fighter ever because his weight class is the bigger one.

But GSP is the best pound for pound of all time! G.O.A.T.
