MM division was just to weak for me to have him there. It took a while for that division to have good fighters.

I point out the fact that Fedor never fought in the UFC, yet his cultists continually post threads about him in the UFC forums. Fact. Fact. Fact. But you can't say he's the best ever when he is the only HW ever to peak before 30, he got KTFO by Decision Dan Henderson (a much older fighter TWO weight classes below him), and he never fought in the MMA's premier organization. I would be curious how people would fill out their top 15-20. I would start a thread but Im expecting it to get shelved as a GOAT thread. So many accomplished fighters to compare and sort through beyond the typical top 5-6. Could be very interesting.

Yeah it’s really tough to compare fighters from all different weight classes that way. Honestly, I’d have a hard time listing a top 10 all time for every division that I’m comfortable with. I feel like I nailed down some divisions as those came up in past threads. I guess I’ve never seen a need to be able to list my top #17 fighter of all time in any weight class (for example), so I’ve never done it.

If PEDs don’t bother you (and for some people, they don’t) then I think the top 5 you posted ITT is reasonable btw. All legends and ATGs.

Yeah he is top 5. In a fair world Anderson and Jones would have more losses and have No Contests on all their drugged fights. In terms of overall well roundnedness I go like this in order

Just GSP, Fedor, Khabib, in the top for well rounded. However, Stipe can be added for effectiveness and dominance along with Ngannou. I overly favor HWs and LHWs and cant think of anyone well rounded or dominant who did not fail a drug test.

You guys are really showing your newb status. You weren't even watching MMA in the 2000s. Because if you were watching MMA back then, you would know PRIDE was the top MMA organization in the world and Fedor was the top P4P fighter in the world for many years. PRIDE was much bigger and better than the UFC. So when you guys continually downplay PRIDE, you are really just admitting you don't know about MMA from that time period.

Also, every fighter loses after 35 fights. Cain only has like 18 fights and he fell apart in his mid 30s just like Fedor (although with much less fights than Fedor).
