All Time GOAT poll

This is the most stupid take ever. You won't never hear any fellow fighter or coach spitting such a simpleton, retarded take on the matter. You dedicated to parrot it hundred times a day is embarrassing
It is not the most stupid take ever and i don't know what is supposed to be controversial about it; Silva is one of, if not the most lethal striker we've had in MMA and one of the most, if not the most mesmerizing stand up fighters we've ever had and that doesn't stand in contrast to the fact that i see modern elite wrestlers who happen to be decent strikers with really good jiu-jitsu beating him.
Whether coaches or fighters will say something similar matters little to me, i think appeals to authority and popularity should be avoided as often as possible, particularly when it comes to athletes.
I think i - quite literally - uttered this take 2-3 times on sherdog, if my memory serves me right and never more often than once a day.

Posting “there is zero discussion” in a discussion forum. Lol

Anderson and bones both got kicked out of GOAT talks with their PED usage.

I’m fine with either GSP or Fedor being called GOAT.

Both guys are in their mid 40's still competing with young hungrier lions. Fedor in mma, Anderson not only in mma but in boxing as well. THey never took safe fights. They never said no regardless of the risk based on name of the opponent. They didnt wait 4 years to cherry pick a 40 year old guy with one eye and a foot out the door. They have given us courageous performances and in Fedors case, amazing wins against big names.

Anderson just went into boxing and handily beat a guy 12 years younger than him who was a former world champ.

Bones is the greatest talent but his story is complicated with peds and out of the cage bs. He may be the greatest of them all when its all said and done, but right now I just dont see how anyone would choose Aldo, Cejudo or a guy like gsp who fought the weakest competition out of any long term champ, never finished a fight and ducked two divisions while retiring at 29.

if you dont respect Anderson and Fedor there is something seriously wrong with you. I would love to see what some of you will be doing at 46 years old. These guys are fighting killers and winning.

Who would have guessed that a win over Timothy would end all goat discussion? Damnnnn

GSP and Khabib have to be right up there.

But, yes, Anderson Silva and Fedor for sure.

It is so bizarre to me that if a fighter sticks around because they love fighting, and it is evident they are post prime, then why can't some people grade them on a curve with nuance? People say "Fedor got KTFO'd by a middleweight' but would they dare say Ali got dominated by Berbick? These fans are the reason fighters like GSP and Khabib jettisoned in their primes or before it, afraid the shit fans would dump all over them if they, God forbid, lost a match. History forgives losses tho, just ask Ali and Sugar Ray.

What testing agency oversaw the athletes on the last Bellator card, or did Bellator self regulate?

If it is the latter then it is hard to even consider this a win for Fedor.

If you want to be regarded as the "GOAT" then you should care enough to make sure there is testing in place to ensure a fair fight for yourself and your competition.

No, the Mohegan Sun commission regulated it. They did it with the same protocols they would normally use when Bellator runs a card at Mohegan Sun.

It's irrelevant to GOAT status. Anderson isn't competing in MMA. Fedor isn't capturing another major belt.

The Bellator title would be a major belt though, if he were to win it. Not as prestigious as a UFC belt obviously, but it would be quite an accomplishment.

1. Fedor
2. GSP

or

1.GSP
2.Fedor

its not really a hard talk, Jones and Anderson both juice to the gills.
Everybody in Fedor's prime was on something. There was pretty much no reason to NOT use ped's.

Bellator belt counts. It's not such an easy cakewalk

There's definitely a discussion, I've tossed and turned on who I think is the best, I respect Fedor the most though I think GSP has the best combination of strength of schedule, dominance, top ten wins, title defense and weight divisions.
