He’s building up a nice resume in Yan x2(before it was easy to beat Yan), Dillashaw, Cejudo, Sandhagen.

It’s too bad that the fans will never embrace him for some reason, hmm…

Please don’t play the boring hmm card. Fighters who are interesting and charismatic generally get embraced; fighters who are cringey generally do not.

I don’t recall, say, Rampage having any trouble gaining traction.

Your unfounded and divisive garbage notwithstanding, the issue with the resume isn’t the names, it’s the circumstances. Yan I and TJ were forfeits. Yan II and Henry were split decisions (not that there’s anything wrong with a tight fight with those guys). The Sandhagen sub was great. I think if he dominates O’Malley he get his due.

No. I think Doms WEC title defenses should count here.

Plus his title win over TJ was nothing short of amazing. Gonna be hard to top that in my book.
They def should count, the UFC belt literally *is* the WEC belt. UFC running their usual propaganda with the “No oNe hAS DeFeNDeD iT 3 TiMeS” bullshit. Cruz had 4 consecutive defenses (2 WEC, 2 UFC) in his first reign, and 1 in his 2nd.

The means in which Aljamain won and defended his belt has put asterisks all over it. If he emphatically beat Yan twice, TJ, and Cejudo then it would rival Cruz. He’s been the dark horse of the division for a while. I like him. His inability to totally dominate proves 135 is the deepest division.

He beat a champion to win the belt. He defended it against an Ex- champ. Then defended it against another ex-champ. Then defended it against an ex-two division champ. A guy some people were trying to say was the greatest combat athlete of all-time (utter fucking nonsense).

Right now I have Cruz and Aljo pretty much tied. That is based on the resume of Aljo.

One more defense in his next fight would put him ahead of Cruz, imo. Unfortunately Cruz got shortchanged by injuries.

Close but not ahead yet. And he is now the lineal champion.

Didn’t vote. My answer is not yes, and not no. And I do know.

Maybe in 4-5 fights sure, but yet again, champ wins and all of a sudden someone think he's the GOAT. Ridiculous.
