Media Ali Abdelaziz: Zabit SOON

Ufc could definitely use him for all these limp dick cards but unfortunately he'd probably be used for the Oil Daddys for those overconcentrated middleeast cards

It's just if cardio and adversity were a problem before, how will they be with father time too. Everyone in ufc should want to win a title, usually... If Zabit wants to i feel he has a lot of holes to fill

Isn't he a doctor now? He doesn't want any part of U Fight Cheap.

I wouldn't expect much from him. Fun guy to watch, but it's not like he faced top competition in the UFC besides Kattar. Now he's been on the shelf. Honestly, I know he's only 34 now, but he looked that old 7 years ago.

He would have shot against all 3, especially after getting his diaphragm problem surgically corrected. Zabit is a greater talent than all.

As recently as last month, his team said he is not coming back. May be he changed his mind, he has been training with Islam over the last few days weeks.
Zabit was saved by the bell against Calvin Kattar... There are several FWs better than Kattar that would have absolutely murdered Zabit if they fought him.

How is it nonsense when he consistently slowed down in the most relevant fights of his career?

He's 34 and hasn't fought since before the pandemic, coming back would be a terrible choice for him that would only lead to tough losses.
It’s nonsense to me when
- the fighter is on a 10+ fight win streak, undefeated in the UFC with 6 fights
- keeps beating his opponents everywhere, standing or on the ground
- shows such flashes of brilliance that you rarely see

Some are seriously arguing that Bochniak walking him down in the end of the 3rd round (while eating punches) is a big slight on him. Like fighters just ran out of time before they would have beaten Zabit?

People also think beating Stephens back then was can crushing (reality check; Stephens was 3-2 in the last 5 with losses to Aldo and split dec against Moicano. Wins against Emmett, Doo Ho Choi and Giblert Melendez ((yes the 2017 version wasn’t elite, but wasnt a can either))).

They also like to pretend that Kattar was never that good and beating him in a 3 rounder was a given since Kattar is now on a losing streak (reality check; Kattar was 19-3 when they fought and beat Chikadze, Ige and Stephens after losing to Zabit. Holloway also beat the absolute shit out of Kattar but was unable to finish him).

It gets tiresome to read through the echochamber comments about Zabit’s horrible dogshit cardio which means he would’ve lost to ”everyone good” if it was a five rounder or whatever.

I don’t think he should come back unless he’s in top shape and 100% in it. I still think he was one of the most talented fighters to ever step in the octagon. Dropping a meaningless round in a fight you dominated doesn’t change anything

yeah those crow's feet are not that of a 27 year old, he's probably 37 or 38 now in reality.

Like others have said, 6 years of ring rust + age is difficult to overcome. Also never believe random Ali posts.

Give Zabit someone like Julian Erosa or Darren Elkins on his return to see if he still has it in him.

Imagine being 5 years removed from mma and scumbag rat Ali is still in your fucking orbit

He was top level years ago. Now he wouldn't be. You don't stop competing for six years (especially at FW) and then come back like you didn't miss a day. His prime is definitely done now.

If he returns and this isn't yet another Ali lie (Alie?), the first fight back should be a 5-rounder.

Last flight nearly 6 years ago. Is he technically even on the UFC roster at this point? Not sure how that long of a retirement would change things.
