Alexander Volkov is massively underrated

You're clearly biased. His loss to Black Beast was no fluke. He was winning until he lost. If he had good cardio and footwork then he wouldn't have been knocked out. There are rarely fluke victories in MMA. Accidental injuries are the most common fluke wins. Getting punched in the face because you couldn't avoid the strike is not a fluke, it's shit defense.
True, very one dimesional fighter. Should have at least tried clinch if he couldn't move his feet.
Good fighter, yes, but still one dimensional. Is able to use defensive grappling but never initiates grappljng when it's needed.

When Volkov finally beats someone in the top 5 then we can talk about a TS until then my aunt almost became my uncle but God gave her penis to someone else

He'll lose to a tony johnson level wrestler though, that's always been the problem
He almost beat the BEST wrestler in the HW division.

Overeem is gonna knock him the fuck out. Greg Hardy had a competitive fight with him.
Only due to Volkov taking extreme caution, even in the post fight he said he needed the W or it was his job...or least he felt like that. But I do agree with others that he will never get the title.

it must hurt a little when none of your kabib buddies, from whom many are from russia but not slavs, dont jump in to support you and your russian-slavic boy at all...

they only support and like your posts when you are on the ballz of a caucasus fighter but other than that dont care about your russian/slavic fighters

one way love

The fuck you’re on ? I don’t care about nobody’s likes or support. I talk and support all fighters from Russia. Also. You’re naive to think that Khabib fans here are from Caucasus. 90% of them are Americans.

He's okay. He's good everywhere but there's nothing special that he does. His style reminds me of Frankie Edgar. That same stick and move style.

Massively underrated is nonsense.
He's well known as a dangerous kickboxer, and he has a chance at the title given the lack of talent at HW.
But he gets his head taken off by anyone with KO power like Francis.
He has been improving his defense lately. But I'm still worried about it.

He's top 5 HW at the moment in my book, but always will get beaten by the more aggressive beasts.

Gane? Volkov is a really good HW and defenitely better than all the current upcoming talents. If he beats Overeem he can defenitely compete for a title next year.
My point still stands. He won't get by ngannou and/or Blaydes who are #1 and #2. Reem is 40+ and still good but he isn't top 2 material anymore. Gane should be top 5 within 2 years. Volkov will still be around 2 years from now.

That fight was over 7 years ago.
A man can improve or suffer a loss lmao.
And he obviously has improved massively.

Honestly that Lewis performance was confusing more than anything. He had him hurt multiple times and never looked for the finish (which I can understand). Than decides the last minute of the fight to throw everything out the window and force random knees to the body everytime Lewis comes in. This dude somehow forgot basic defense against a heavy-handed brawler and got KO'd for his troubles. Why when Lewis is hurt you're overly cautious but not when he's clearly coming for your head and one more minute of caution you'd have the win in the bag?

And after that Blaydes performance, nah. Dude wont touch the belt in a long time.

Well, he did better than anyone not named Ngannou vs Blaydes

That is true. But at the same time I dont know if a rematch would look that much different tbh.

Volkov is overrated, he is a legit top 10, not a title contender. But if hype lives long enough to see him fight Ngannou, it's going to be an entertaining execution.

Lmfao. Gane has way more talent, his movement, footwork and his defense are several levels above Volkov's.

Yeah, I just don't agree with Gane (at this point). I feel Romanov is a more dangerous prospect for Volkov, but I guess we will see. Anyway, Im happy HW has got some nice up and commers
