Alex could break a record on Saturday

Interesting that no one dings Alex for fighting lesser comp in favor of higher activity. The Pride model essentially, which many people complained about on this same forum yet "Goatan" is a thing when Alex does it.

Not complaining, because I prefer more activity personally, but the double standard is weird.

It's not interesting, yes they do(here you are), it's never been lesser competition, no one cares you watched pride and there's nothing weird about any of this outside of your neckbeard take.

How cute that you feel the need to attack me personally over the fact I merely pointed out a double standard. And looks like Khalil Rountree isn't lesser competition than Ankalaev after all folks. Declared so by AmalgamOpus. Khalil is the top contender. Will it into existence that #8 is a smaller number than #1 / say it until you believe it lol.

His last 7 fights were against former champions, all of whom held titles within 2 years of the time that they fought Pereira.

Yeah would be a great record to have for sure I really don't like roundtree I just hope Alex doesn't catch a freak injury fighting this guy Alex has long legs and round tree is def gonna try and snap his knees or some other dirty ass kick to the joints.

This is impressive AF and is an amazing stat. Pereira's been on a tear and no one can deny he's been fighting the best guys up to now. But in this fight only, Rountree getting the shot over Ankalaev is #1 bullshit. Ankalaev more than earned his shot and is on a 10 fight UFC win streak (12 fight unbeaten streak) with 6 finishes. Even decision machine Merab got his TS after 10 wins and part of that was on him for refusing to fight Aljo. Ankalaev having to fight Rakic before getting a TS is absolutely insane.

100% Ank should be getting the shot, but it looks like he pissed off the bosses. Aside from Ank there isn’t anyone at LHW that’s more deserving that makes sense either due to inactivity, recent losses, or already having lost to Poatan. The only egregious thing about this match up is that it’s not Ank. Aside from that, if it’s not going to be Ank, Rountree is a fine match up.

Agree Rountree is most deserving after Ank but still WAY less deserving than him. I mean Ankalaev being 10-0-1-1 in his last 12 in the UFC is close to the record without fighting for the title. I believe that record belongs to Tony Ferguson for being 12-0 in his last 12 at one point in the UFC but at least he fought Fighter Kevin Lee for the interim belt after 9 wins.

Exactly so the double standard is not a trend and your argument is brain dead'
The trend I was referring to was Sherdoggers posting about this upcoming fight / had nothing to do with Alex’s career arc. Fuck if, I’m tired and don’t want to explain any longer to someone this emotional over me pointing out something basic
