I stumbled across this and am really impressed by some of the results. They feed part of the song to an AI program and have it finish the song. Some of theme are pretty crisp but the lyrics sometimes get garbled.
The thing that is really interesting is that some of Trent Reznor's AI covers for songs like Hurt sound very much like how present day Trent Reznor sounds. This channels has a lot of very crisp AI generated songs. I think bands in the near future are going to feed their sounds to an AI to get ideas of how to make a better song. Using the AI as a tool as to see the different direction a song could go.

Great, now they can kill us while playing twisted versions of hit songs

I think it will lead to better music. If you listen to a lot of these, they are very tight stylistic interpretations. It natural struggles with lyrics but they get you something that is 70% finished with very little effort. Like a rapid and fairly polished prototype.

I don't know man. Hate to be critical of our AI overlords but it didn't sound crisp, tight or polished at all. Almost the exact opposite, it's just Trent's song drenched in reverb and ambient noises. Seems like the AI version ran the audio file through an algorithm that added noise but nothing of substance. If you listen to Johnny Cash's version of Hurt and compare it to Reznor's version, you will hear that Trent took Johnny's melodic and lyrical concepts and added his own ideas, instruments, drums, etc. That's real creativity.

I stumbled across an AI creation today and it’s the best AI generated music I’ve heard by far, and I’ve heard a lot of em.

It’s getting pretty crazy this is possible but I am glad this cover actually exists.

Yea AI is nuts. First time I used It I asked it to write a story about how one of my coworkers loves rebar and it was hilarious.

Thought this thread was about the different Al’s.

Wilson, Jolson, Green, etc

Leaving disappointed :(

I've been listening to this shit all week.

love the frank Sinatra AI songs, especially since most of them also remix the original songs music to sound more like Frank's style

I heard AI Ozzy doing Metallica the other day and it was impressive. I think this was it.

Freddie's voice flows so smoothly over other singers that do higher register, and especially female singers.

Can't wait to see them live

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I take it personally because I'm a musician and have been playing for 23 years or so, but fuck AI "music". It, like anything else AI in the creative field, is just people looking for the easy way out and not having to pay anyone but themselves, just pocket all the money. It's pathetic. People don't want to practice and hone a skill, just use AI like it's Fiverr and have it do literally everything for them.
