How "bad" do you think AI will get?

I listened to a Star Wars toy podcast and the guy made a "if it's not new, it's poo" AI song and not bad but funny since it sounds like an actual woman singer is singing it seriously.

A GI Joe podcast also made a AI song about a GI Joe character and not bad.

Guys are following for ai girlfriends even sport stars lol but if it stays on that ok but it will not it will create realistic movies about somebody real how he or she is and what he or she thinks that will not be acceptable in society so some.lives might be destroyed some might be elevated as result of it. Ai should be phased out

Ai caused a heart attack last night! Well sort of. My father is a huge fan of AI. Last night he was experiencing some chest and arm pains. He asked AI what to do. Go to the ER immediately AI said. Thankfully everything turn out well. It was likely a burrito gas heart attack.

It will get very bad, at least in the USA where there is zero attempt to regulate this technology. The government is fully complicit in allowing these tech companies to do whatever the fuck they want, even going as far to limit state power to regulate AI. The race to AGI is so poorly thought out. I genuinely believe that a few billionaires just want to have some sort of God-like technology so they can try to make themselves stay young or some shit. I mean just look at what Peter Thiel says about wanting humans to merge with machines. These guys have accumulated so much wealth that it's warped their brains to make them feel like they can just do whatever they want with society. Apparently behind closed doors this is what some of them are actually. Like they know they are going to die soon but perhaps some intelligence that far surpasses that of humans could help them stay around longer. Sounds like sci-fi but these guys have very big egos.

Given the direction of things I'm not sure enslavement and extermination (if you only mean violence) will be necessary. Fertility across the globe is collapsing. All AI has to do is keep nudging that process down the road.

People already can’t separate truth from fiction. Without any regulations on this shit, the data centers used to produce it causing massive pollution not withstanding, nobody will never know what is real and what isn’t.

This is something fascists snd authoritarians rely on. So we’ll be seeing more of that. Unless, of course, people stop falling for the trans hate, racism, and other culture war issues that are manufactured explicitly to keep the proletariat (you guys, not me) fighting amongst themselves so that they won’t rise up and overthrow the oligarchs.
