It's wild. I am currently learning all about Large Language Models as I am leading an effort to use AI for nuclear plant Project Controls operations. They won't control the plant, but they will level resources for maximum efficiency, tell you where on your Critical Path you are likely to fail the most, and a whole lot more. If I don't, other competitors will eat my company's lunch. We do the data and metrics for most nuclear operators in the USA.

AI isn't that good yet. People on instagram comments think everything is AI even when it's not. This is especially true of nature videos because most people don't go outside, much less travel and do interesting things. I can literally go snorkeling with a gopro and video some fish and post it on the gram, and people will claim it's AI.

I recently saw one video of manta rays in Indonesia with a bunch of a comments claiming it's AI. I've been to that exact spot and saw the mantas with my own eyes years before AI was even a thing.

I think AI still looks a little cartoonish but then again part of the appeal of cartoons is they don't require actors. At least I read that a few times. Cartoon characters are not moody and difficult to work with.

The AI's getting better all the time for image generation, now you got dudes making fake IG/onlyfans girls and making bank off simps who either can't tell the difference or don't care.
