After seeing Khamzat run through Rob can we really still say Usman is washed?

Career WW Usman rolled off the couch and went 3 rounds with Khamzat at MW. Can we honestly still say that Usman is done at the top level? The decision against Khamzat is really aging well with Rob losing to Khamzat the way he did.

Usman is an elite wrestler, absolute monster in his prime. Why would it be surprising that he is a tougher matchup than Rob, even out of his prime and with all the injuries…

Prime Usman would be a handful for Khamzat. Absolute wrecking ball for 5 rounds. Too bad he cannot do that anymore and has visibly less confidence today.

There’s very few guys that can survive Khamzat’s first round blitz on the ground to even last until he starts to slow down in the 2nd and 3rd. I thought Usman was done for when Khamzat had his back honestly.

Usman isn't even a MW and gave Khamzat a good fight. That is pretty impressive.

Usman has something unique that 99% of fighters don´t have and that is patience..

I recall once GSP said that he was KO´ed by Serra because he lacked patience because he tried to give back again immediately when he was rocked due to pride but he said later on in his career he got rocked by Carlos Condit really bad with a head kick but now instead of fighting back immediately and panicking he patiently tried to absorb and go to the ground to cover up patiently..

Hence patience is what Usman had and that is why he survived but 99% of fighters don´t have that attribute example someone like Jon Jones has it in the Vitor fight etc etc he endured that armbar and it was tight
