Let's talk about Kamaru Usman

I'll keep it short and simple and I really don't want people to think that I'm saying this as a ''diss'' to Chimaev because it absolutely isn't. Dude is a certified killer and he ABSOLUTELY should fight for the title.

But I when we look back at Chimaev vs Usman I want to know from you guys and let's be honest -- Was it because of

1) Chimaev lack of cardio and difficulty catching on in the later rounds

or was it

2) Usman being a tough guy

I never liked Usman that much but after Chimaev performance against Rob... wow. Usman deserve the respect. The same position that you saw Rob and Khamzat in were very similar to the one you saw Usman in.

Usman deserves alot of props. So does Khamzat and he should rightfully fight for the belt. And for Rob (as a Rob myself) I feel bad. Keep your head up.

Khamzat is a menace man. So is Topuria. I'll even go as far as saying that Topuria can absolutely knock the lights off Islam. The grappling is another convo.

Welterweight shit all over Middleweights in terms of skill levels and its something that's been historically true in most cases. Whittaker, Gastleum etc. GSP could have had at least a few more defenses, Khamzat is going to run through everyone for a few years. Even Usman could go on another run at 185 provided his injuries/age doesn't catch up to him soon

Usman is amazing, you don't get to 5 title defenses if you aren't.

Khamzat definitely slows down after round 1 but it isn't like he's totally gassed, he was able to keep pushing pretty hard for the full 15 against Burns despite being tired and hurt multiple times throughout the fight.

Usman theoretically should have had worse cardio since he jumped off the couch on 11 day's notice. Usman also admitted in pre and post fight interviews that he didn't really believe in himself going into it after back to back losses.

All of that makes what Usman did against Chimaev even more impressive. He would have absolutely won a 5 rounder that night.
