A poignant and moving interview by young black man after Dallas shooting

I got a warning from FireFox that the site is not secure.

I'm getting a message that says it's an insecure connection. Is there another link?

This guy should be the spokesperson for BLM. I'd even get on board.

"I stereotyped the police, the police stereotyped me..."

Practically the essence of the whole problem.

By the way, a lovely kid. Mere amount of trust he displayed by holding on to his father's hand made me get a bit weak.

Dude should work for BLM. He's probably too smart though and clearly over-qualified.

We need more people like this. Take the time to listen to the whole interview, it is well worth it.

One of the few gems to come out the abomination that is Huffington Post:

Let's reverse the scenario.

Say that white nationalist snipers just shot up downtown and ambushed a bunch of cops.

Now, a few moving words from Earl at the trailer park, like anyone would wanna hear that shit.

Well, I don't want to hear it either.

That guy nailed it. Unity is what our country needs, not more division.

More like subtraction.

We have a surplus of useless people who will never do anything but kill other people and cause problems while never holding down a job.

What to do with them? That question has not been raised, let alone answered.

More emotional nonsense is not the answer, we need to address the math.

If we give credence to random tweets and Snoop Dog, this guy is as credible as anyone else. He was there to protest and witnessed the shooting, and has been the only voice of reason I've heard from an activist. We need more of this, not less.

Yeah, I pretty much don't click on links here at SD as a general rule. The War Room is the worst place for this kinda thing too with everyone always trying to prove themselves lol

Nah, we don't.

We need for people like him to understand that their voices do not need to be heard right now.

They are the ones creating the divisions, they need to go home and shut up before this spirals out of control.

The real problem with the black community is crime. Crime is mostly caused by lack, or perception of lack, of economic opportunity. Why is there lack of economic opportunity? Income inequality. Less wealth is reaching the middle class and the poor, which are hit the hardest. Economic mobility in the US is poor. For instance someone born in Canada has twice as much economic mobility. So logically speaking, hating black people, even the thugs, is a waste of time. Black people blaming whitey is also a complete waste of time. Hating the rich is where the money's at, no pun.

Instead of proving Micah Johnson was the only shooter, they make up delusional reasons for not releasing evidence and information about this massive cover-up. This case defines so clearly how stupid the world really is. THERE IS NO PERSON ON PLANET EARTH WHO THINKS they used excessive force when killing Johnson.

Brown told the City Council earlier this month that much of the information about the attack could be withheld for an indefinite period during an investigation into whether the use of force was justified. He declined to estimate how long that investigation might take, but said his office’s findings would be reviewed by the district attorney and a grand jury.

Authorities have refused public records requests for police reports, 911 calls, audio and video recordings, autopsy documents, crime scene photos and evidence gathered at Johnson's house, which police initially said held an arsenal of weapons and bomb-making material and a journal of combat tactics possibly indicating plans for a larger attack. Other officials have told The Associated Press that Johnson did not have a large stockpile of bomb-making materials.

Native Americans have worse socio economics than blacks, and they don't commit more crime

I get the same warning when I read your posts, except my computer starts crying and then shuts itself off. I didn't even know my computer had water ducts to do that.
