Media A-level athlete Shaquille Rashaun "Shaq" O'Neal ADMITS that UFC fighters are best athletes in world

Different sports require different athletic abilities, if there's anyone out there who still doesn't know that, go watch greg a level athlete hardy's performance in the octagon.

Take a current MMA guy and give him 2 years experience in football and see if he can make the NFL. Take a current. NFL guy and give him 2 years experience in MMA and see how he does in the UFC.

I already saw how a prime nfl athlete with 3 years of training did in the octagon. Not a reject or a past his prime player. Hardy is at his physical prime.
And he looked like shit in the cage.
Now take francis ngannou or Johnny Walker and put them in an nfl game after 2 years of training and i think they'll do better than hardy did in the cage.

I agree.

Playing with a ball with your friends is for children.

Greg Hardy already exposed American foozball players as D level athletes. I don't follow basketball at all (not really into women's sports), Shaq looks like he was a solid C- level athlete though in his prime. Might have been able to go a round with Gan McGee.

Ok then send all these MMA guys to a combine and compare their skill sets.

Their fighters with athletic abilities, it takes a special kinda person to fight and no they won’t ever line up with the elite athletes of the world but in slim cases like JBJ

Jon Jones is the worst athlete out of him and his brothers but yeah.

I believe the fights are too long. I wrestled and the 2 minute rounds took everything I had out of me. I couldn't imagine going 5 minutes, I think the human body isn't made to grapple for 15 minutes, much less 25.
10 - 15 mins should be max.

According to sherdog, circus freakshows have the best athletes. I'll spam my own quote on this thread: Being the most "athletic" in your own sport doesn't even make you the best in your sport. This i use when people bring up "A level athletes" being able to win UFC belts just based off athleticism.

Anyway, yeah, MMA requires the most athleticism in all sports. Do we have the current best athletes in the world? For MMA, yes. Do we have the best athletes we'll ever get? No. No sport has the best athletes they'll ever get. New steroids keep bringing more and more monstrous athletes.
How so?

I know this will be unpopular but in reality current Racecar drivers (NASCAR, F1) are probably the best athletes in the world.

It takes incredible endurance, focus, strength and skill to drive a car at the limit for hour after hour constantly fighting against G Forces in a 100+ degree car wearing a firesuit and helmet.

These guys lose an average of 10 pounds a race. If you are one of the fools who don't think they're athletes put on all your winter clothes and go sit in a sauna while holding a 10 pound at the end of your fully extended arms, and that's the easy part, lol. Now to sort of simulate the focus required to not make a single mistake knowing cause the stakes and potential consequences of doing so are the highest possible tie a cannon ball above your head that will fall as soon as you lose your concentration and lower the weight.

Cm punk couldn't walk into any other sport and go pro..

Shaq would pound her into a shamrock-like, living death.
He can’t even look at her. Probably knows about all the incoming memes

Shaqs just paying respect to the fighters.

There’s a difference between a sport requiring a high level of athleticism and the highest level athletes participating in a sport.
Again with this A level athlete shit?
Anybody can look good dunking a basketball, not everybody could look good getting punched and kicked in the face.

You’re comparing apples and oranges

LOL, Shaq is an A level athlete with an F level intellect. I wouldn’t read too much into his random thoughts.

40 year old retired wrestler Daniel Cormier is the HW champion. If Cormier went back to the Olympic circuit now he'd be embarrassed by 20 year olds. That's just a fact.

porn stars are the best a level athletes
To be able to maintain sex for 6 hours

MMA stars only need to worry about 15 min

Those 2 guys wouldn't make one of Jim McMahon's XFL rosters.

In any case I'm not going to argue b/c it's impossible to predict. I would say to fight in MMA/UFC takes a certain level of mental toughness that not many athletes possess. So there is more than just physical attributes for MMA compared to many other sports.
But there is also a reason the best athletes go to NFL/NBA/etc.....the money is there. If you are a great athlete you aren't taking a chance on MMA where you could get peanuts for money and get punched in the face vs another major sport. Athletes follow the money, therefore I can safely assume that the best athletes are not in the UFC.

ignore Linch lmao

dude even thinks that ngannou only trained 2-3 years mma, which is wrong. He trained 10 years boxing, but his boxing is still dogshit and 5-7 years MMA.

im 100% sure that guys like ngannou and walker are on more "s vitamins" than greg.

Greg has amazin hand speed and he moves really well, but he needs to pace himself more.

Greg maybe took MMA srsly two years ago ... but time doesnt matter, cuz mat time is much more important.

How do you know that ngannou and walker wouldn't make the nfl roster? Based on what exactly did you get this conclusion?
The argument about highest paying sports attract the best athletes is for the US only.
No other country has a similar structure and opportunities for larger men, so we get the best athletes from other countries if not from the us.
Ngannou was born in africa.
People here shit on him calling him a bum that didn't play any sports professionally. He didn't have any opportunities to do it back in africa. Doesn't mean he's less of an athlete.
Walker is from brazil, romero from cuba.
There's no nfl/nba etc in these countries.
