Hardy could have became a force if he just worked on his ground game. Fish out of water on the ground

Hardy did not seem to be improving especially conditioning wise. At the very minimum he could have lost a few pounds and worked on cardio. I just don't think he was dedicated enough to training.

The people saying Hardy ain't shit are probably the same people who claim Brock is a "genetic freak" because he played a couple preseason NFL games and wasn't even good enough to make the practice roster (the vikings wanted to send him to play in NFL Europe lol.)
Brock was a D1 national champion in wrestling, that was his most impressive athletic accolade. In regards to football he had an amazing combine performance (which is usually the first football event in which you get the "freak" label) but he had a motorcycle accident that summer which ruined his chances of making the active 53 roster
Those guys are A++ level. Being an all-pro now isn’t enough to be A-level, it’s the the top 1% of the nfl that is A level?
Hardy never made 1st team, he made 2nd team once and did nothing signficant after (even someone like Cole Beasley has made a 2nd team)

You also don't necessarlily have to be an elite athlete to make all-pro. Sometimes luck, scheme, football IQ, and surrounding cast can prop you up on the stat sheet (especially if it was a one-off season and then it was never even close to being replicated aka Hardy). Zach Thomas for example was never in his entire career considered a top 15 athlete at his position yet he made 1st team all-pro 5x and made the all-decade team.

To be fair I don't know why some trolls used him as an "A level athlete" example. Hardy was a 6th round pick, had weak combine numbers, and was almost a decade removed from his prime.

A level would be like Micah Parsons or Myles Garrett, not freaking Hardy
It's a meme welcome to Sherdog bud. ;)

Good. He wasn't ufc calibre, his fights were boring and he was taking up space on the maincard that more deserving fighters could've taken

I didn’t say he was first team. Just all pro.

And again, you are identifying literally the top 1% of nfl players as A-level……

My point was you can not be a freak athlete and still get accolades in the NFL. Hardy didn't even have a top 100 most impressive combine for his draft class alone, there was nothing A-level about him from an NFL athletic standpoint and here he currently is almost a decade removed from his NFL peak (Hardy in 2022 is not A-level at anything so I don't know why people keep talking about it).

Sherdog over-values NFL players even though within the NFL itself there's a huge gap from Hardy to someone like Quinn or Miller. With there logic Brock is signficantly inferior to Hardy because Brock didn't make active roster and Hardy did which is a joke. Talent pool is so weak at 205 and HW that half this forum will over-rated guys from other sports which I don't think is smart

They should have just gave him strikers and let whatever happen happen.

He will never make 265 again.

Khabib invents super heavy weight division or he goes Bare Knuckle.

More likely he eats himself into oblivion and we see his mugshot shortly after the attention ceases

A 265 lb weight limit for heavyweight is ridiculous.
