UFC pays damn well considering you only compete like 3 times a year. Yeah you train year round so what, that other thread said the average pay is in the 6 figures so whats the big fucking deal.

Well the entire argument is that fighters aren't paid well in proportion to total revenue/profit of the organization and sport.

That's really undeniable. The only fighters that do get paid their true worth or more are like McGregor, Khabib, maybe Jones, etc. A select few.

On the other hand, that's kind of how boxing has worked for awhile albeit with more frequent and more massive pay days for their stars. So yeah, I mean....Usman making 692k and Rose making 180k ish doesn't really get my dick hard about fighter pay. It's not horrible but it's also still not "fair"

Then you have to get it past the stubborn people's heads that ENTERTAINMENT and DRAW aka popularity, star power, controversy-drama, is really what makes money. Not necessarily merit. So someone like Oliveira might not be worth much compared to someone like CM Punk or Masvidal.

multiple time defending champion who has not lost in the UFC can't even break 1 fucking million in a multi BILLION dollar organization.

Meanwhile Kayla Harrison is smashing soccer moms who took MMA classes for a million.

Quit complaining about fighter pay dipshits not like the fighters are the ones complaint just you bitches.
So you're concluding UFC pay is good by posting the disclosed payouts showing that a fringe top 10 p4p boxer who is about FLW sized made more in disclosed pay than 99 percent of UFC fighters? What FLWs or BWs in the UFC even make more than 500k in dislosed pay. Not to mention Barrios, who isn't even a real champion, pulled in half a million and probably some on the backend. Again, what UFC fighters outearn that?

Only really 3 of those matchups involve what you would consider the equivalent of UFC caliber fighters. The rest are the equivalent of regional mma talent and are earning the same as their counterparts.

Did you ever stop to wonder why one would use average pay in a sport with such outlier athletes like Conor or Ronda instead of median?

Preach. These dudes/dudettes are getting fucked over. Dana is always bragging about turning the UFC into a 7 billion dollar company. when it's time to pay fighters, it's all "muh fixed costs, inflation and sheeit", meanwhile the athletes don't even get 25% of the revenue split. it's been 18-20%ish for the last 10 to 15 years, right? surely as the promotion grows the talent's share should increase too. and OP's post is fucking asinine because as he's completely overlooking the exclusive venum deal, the shady shit in their contracts, like how dana and them will block you from testing free agency with their matchmaking, can't fight in different promotions (but you're a independent contractor, can't wear condom depot, but you're independent, can't partake in other combat sports without their approval, but hey you're independent).
it's bullshit that OP would use the davis but won't use deontay wilder, who makes more than jon jones, but sells less ppvs than jon jones. how many dicks did dustin have to suck to get that conor mcgregor match and finally secure a million dollar paycheck in a single fight. meanwhile davis, who's clearly one of the best, but not nearly as established in his sport as dustin is. davis who's much younger and hasn't reached that status gets a million dollars like it's nothing. dustin had to give up on begging and only got the conor match because conor thought he was an easy win. it's bullshit that OP would even try draw this false equivalent. MMA fighters are getting fucked and i hope this gets fixed.

Everyone knows that the undercard fighters in boxing events are typically not paid very much. Boxing has a lower pay floor, but also a much higher ceiling. Now, in order to get there, you have to be a marketable superstar-level fighter, but there's huge money to be made at the very top in boxing. Kamaru Usman is at the very top level in the UFC and is a 4-time defending champion in his weight class, which is really difficult to accomplish these days, but is still under the $700,000 mark in reported pay because he doesn't cut WWE promos on the mic like Conor McGregor or whoever. It's wonky.

also show and win is bullshit. how is uriah hall guaranteed only 70k. yeah he's inconsistent but goddamn, this dude's been around and has given the UFC highlights upon highlights. 70k...you can't honestly tell us that they should be okay with this. lol randy brown gets paid 40k to show, are you fucking kidding me? zhang weili less than 200k bro? come on. this shit is ridiculous. the other thing, after taking a look at this undercard, the lower paid fighters are either jobbers or inexperienced.

did you ever stop to think that ever comparing mma to other pro leagues is stupid? no you didn't, did you. wonder why that is

I dont think OP gets the problem

As mentioned before its the revenue split

And UFC top talent gets paid shit compared to other major organization top talent

Just cause you make 12K a year OP doesn't mean UFC fighters cant make more and shouldnt complain

It's useful to get yardsticks of pay. But I'd say wage share is more useful, and if you're comparing pay, use median.
also show and win is bullshit.
I can't believe fans still think this motivates fighters to fight harder or some bullshit.
