Is there any doubt that Ngannou will absolutely obliterate Jon Jones?

This is Francis against HW fighters.

You really think skinny Jon Jones can withstand this ferociousness? I know he's going to bulk up but Francis has been destroying natural HWs this whole time yet somehow someone who was a LHW his whole career is going to fare better? Not only better but actually beat Francis?

Even if you think Jon Jones is more skilled than the average HW, this only means that he may survive longer against Francis before his inevitable destruction.

Also consider the following:

(1) Jon Jones has never had KO power

(2) His last few performances have been his worse

(3) Francis is less than one year older than Jones. He's not the stereotypical old ass 40-something HW.

Jon would be the best fighter Francis has ever faced by light years.
The same cannot he said in reverse although clearly Francis is no doubt the most dangerous.
I expect jon to get to work destroying big franks knees and possibly eyes.

I don't favor Jones against Ngannu or Stipe, but I've been so wrong about so many major fights over the past few years that I'm on the fence.

Even though I'd be rooting for Ngannou, I have a hard time picturing Jones just letting himself get blasted in the first few seconds. I'm a proud Jones hater, but even I can recognize that Jones is one of the smartest in-cage tacticians in UFC history. Plus, even though Ngannou is probably the hardest hitting guy Jones could ever fight, he's not the only KO artist that Jones has fought. Vitor, Rampage, Shogun, Texeira, and Santos all had reputations as KO artists before Jones fought them, and even though he did better against some than others, the end result was always the same.

Jones is great at rolling with punches, and uses range to not get hit.

Only problems are that Jones will be slower at HW, Francis has longer reach then anyone Jones has fought, and Francis hits harder then anyone Jones has fought.
Recently Jones had trouble taking down LHW's and Francis is a large HW.

We'll get a better analysis of how this fight goes based on Francis's rematch against Stipe. But i really question if Jones can successfully implement that gameplan Stipe did against Francis in their first fight.

People also forget that Jones is also not his old self. Add some fat for HW, it will be interesting to see how he looks. Francis can catch anyone and then it’s light out...

I think Francis will take his head off. Jones is on the decline, he was 2 for 9 on TD attempts on Reyes, and Blaydes has gotten finished twice before being able to. Only way I see Jones winning is tiring him out for a couple of rounds, but how likely is it that Francis won't land at least once in that time?

Of course there's doubt if you're fighting one of the highest IQ fighters in game brains over brawn is always a factor...
