Is there any doubt that Ngannou will absolutely obliterate Jon Jones?

Even if he has a 30 percent chance of decapitating Jones makes it worth the watch. The worst that can happen is Jones wears him out for 5 rounds which is probably more likely.

Jones isn't a wannabe tough guy though. He will run away from power; he is realistic with his chin. He made his career beating everyone that was suppose to knock him out. You really need something more than KO power to stop Jones.

It's amazing how much some people focus on size when skill is the real key to greatness.

I like N'gannou but besides from power and winging big punches he hasn't much cage smarts in prolonging a fight when it goes round to round.

And that's his only good win. Other than Ngannou, he only has wins over out of prime old guys. Plus he got finished by Struve.

He is still the champ. And beat Francis, what is your point? How is Stipe more overrated than a fighter he already defeated? Or are you just dumb?

Jones has excellent wrestling, defense, oblique kicks, hellbows etc that keep guys on the outside and from trying to just steamroll him. Whether or not these tools will be enough to slow a charging Ngannou remains to be seen. Jones does have some issues against bigger guys of course. It would be a fight worth seeing.

Overrated: "rated or valued too highly."

A fighter being overrated is about fan perception. Stipe having already beaten Ngannou tells us nothing about how overrated or underrated he is. You're a fucking retard if you don't understand this....

Unless Jones developes some KO power a lot of HW will just walk towards him throwing bombs and some of them will land.

This is Francis against HW fighters.

You really think skinny Jon Jones can withstand this ferociousness? I know he's going to bulk up but Francis has been destroying natural HWs this whole time yet somehow someone who was a LHW his whole career is going to fare better? Not only better but actually beat Francis?

Even if you think Jon Jones is more skilled than the average HW, this only means that he may survive longer against Francis before his inevitable destruction.

Also consider the following:

(1) Jon Jones has never had KO power

(2) His last few performances have been his worse

(3) Francis is less than one year older than Jones. He's not the stereotypical old ass 40-something HW.

Nganou is a one dimensional fighter, Jones actually studies the game and sets game plans. He can easily survive Ngannou first round and finish him

None of those guys are jon jones jbj has never lost.. Doesnt lose

I favor Jones against Ngannou...

But I also favor Miocic over Jones...

Jones via UD.

Ngannou would be taken down all night long, and given how hapless he is on his back, I think Jones comfortably controls him until the bell, or until he submits him.

Jones is infinitely more skilled as a fighter, Ngannou only has the size advantage.

This is really simple.
Francis Ngannou has one way to win...land a big punch.

Could it happen? Absolutely.

Jones can win by GNP, submission and would be my pick if it goes to decision.

There is even a chance, small but a chance he lands a punch, head kick or elbow that ends Francis.

It could definitely go either way but I would not be surprised if Jones won or if Francis won.

If Jones took DC down with ease, even at LW. I am confident he can take both Stipe and Ngannou down with ease.

He didn't do that.

He wore DC out and then took him down when he was exhausted.

No one knows if Jon is slowing or was just bored. If recent Jones shows up i don't think he will win in any weight class. If a motivated and focused Jones shows up he could definitely be heavyweight champ. Not sure why everyone is discounting Stipe though? Stipe easily beat Francis once and could do it again. Stipe vs Jones could be a very good technical fight.

Lots

I'd love to see this matchup. However, as Jones is rich now and has his health and legacy to protect, I doubt he'd take it. He must realise that, more than any other matchup, this one is the most likely to leave him brutality defeated and hospitalised.
