4 years after his retirement, Khabib's sloppy seconds are demolishing the 'new generation'

its just a testament to how much better khabib is than everyone else

really no other fighter has shown the level of dominance he has, including jones, gsp and anderson
Jones would have if he had retired at the same amount of title defences as Khabib. That would have been after his victory vs Rashad Evans at that point he had only lost a round to Rashad and maybe a round to Lyoto as well which is akin to Khabib losing a round to Justin/Conor. They also had one competitive bout when they were both still green with Jones vs Stephan and Khabib vs Tibau.

There's a reason he's the LW GOAT. For now.

So much for the new generations are always better narrative

It's 2024 and Justin and Dustin are still title contenders, beating the so called new guard like Fiziev, BSD...

I'm not impressed with this new generation
Nope. We just have men who are still in their primes fighting . That’s all .

Did anyone say matt Hughes was the sloppy seconds pat ? No

Exactly. Jon never faced real adversity until his 6th title defense against Gus.

Which shows if Khabib has stayed in the game for at the very least 10 more bouts more than likely back and forth fights or losses may have occurred.

It makes it all the more frustrating that he retired so early. By now he would have likely solidified himself as the clear GOAT.

Gaethje and Poirier are 4 years older than Fiziev and 2 years older than Gamrot. BSD is a prospect from a regional scene.

Let them beat at least Tsarukyan before counting the new generation out.

To who? BSD? Fiziev? Gamrot? Dariush?

Do Bronx is the only really dangerous looking new challenger that came along.
We will never know, because Khabib retired without facing much in the way of serious opposition.

He was a very good fighter who retired before he proved his greatness.

Khabib retired early, but 2 of his sons and his little brother are taking care of business

He may not be in goat contention by retiring without more titles, but he fucking destroyed guys who are still right at the top years later

Khabib has arguably the best prime of any fighter. It's similar to Tyson in boxing, who lacked the longevity of some others, but his prime was frightening

His prime was characterized by sitting out for a year or so at a time and fighting very few actual contenders.

He didn’t even beat what would be considered his 2 hardest matchups at that time, Arman and Gamrot. Of course, they will not get a title shot, but Justin always will.

Also, a superior Khabib is champion right now.
Lol those two weren't even ranked when Khabib was champ. Time, how does it work?

No he retired becuase his dad and mentor and coach died
Of course in reality he actually both signed to and did fight Justin after his dad died, not before.

But don't let facts get in the way of your narratives.

He also wouldn't have been undefeated in the first place if he were in title fights since the age of 23 like Jon was.
