Garbage. He didn't even break the LW title defense record and everyone he beat in a title defense was a striker. Al Iaquinta was basically a striker, too, when he wasn't doing his realtor job. The guys you mentioned all fought a variety of grapplers and strikers, and fighters who could do both (like Hendrix for GSP and Cormier/Glover for Jones).
