Oh he was totally a bottom 6 player but IMO, for what he was getting paid and expected, he didn't disgrace himself.

instead of roughing, they should have gave tkachuk a 2 minute unsportsmanlike penalty for not breaking that guys face when he had the opportunity. 3 grand is nothing to him, so he may as well have thrown some cheap shots to the back of the guys head while he's at it.

he's putting a target on his back and it's only preseason. the guys a tough kid but i won't be surprised if he ends up getting stretchered out of the game one of these days because teams aren't going to want to put up with his bullshit for very long, and it's just a matter of time until he gets trapped on the ice after an icing call against somebody who intends to deliver some ill-will.

give him the ole' mcsorely on brashear treatment to smarten him up a little, but maybe try to make it look like they were just following up on a shot so that they don't get put in the box.
