Also it's pretty clear McLaren sacrificed Oscar to ensure Lando would win the WDC. It is a pretty smart strategy from them in that regard. By giving Max this massive gap out front they take away his ability to back up the pack.

Cant really say sacrificed as Piastri would’ve had the harder race to win the championship, judging from interviews through the week, Piastri seemed content. Piastri will be champion one day, just not this season with the way the ending races of this season occured.

Eh, he was being over the top about it (I am not the only one who thinks this either.)

Shame Kimi couldn't hold off Lando last week, would have made this race much better.
What, here?
Like I said...Yuki told us what was needed of him and did it. Martin was doing his job as a commentator.

They held him out on the hards for too long. Yeah he was the longer shot but with that stint on the hards they gave him zero chance to win the race.

Big fumble by Red Bull not pitting Max for a 2nd time when they had the gap to Oscar. Backing the pack up was their only chance at that point.

What a finish to the season. Congrats to Lando on a wonderful season and kudos to Max for making it close at the end. You couldn't ask for higher stakes to end the season.

Happy for Lando, was rooting for him to win it last year.

My god Zak Brown is annoying, he makes that team unlikable for me. He doesn't hide his bias for Lando.

My god you've got some weird obsession for "bias". He's our best driver...why would he not be biased?
I REALLY like Zak.

I would have rather seen Oscar win. I honestly think red bull had the best car. Not a popular opinion. Leclerc or Russell in the other red bull and they run away with both titles imo.

Not a great race, but congrats to Lando, he stayed calm and did what he had to do.

The NASCAR fan in me is pining for a full season format again because of this. Get rid of the damn "playoffs".

Best driver, eh, probably but by a tiny amount. Oscar dropped the ball this year after the euro tracks but he is right there with Lando. I guess it's like a parent having a favorite child, they probably do have one but can't be outward about it.

I guess this is why situations like Mercedes and Red Bull where you have one clearly dominate driver is easier to deal with.

Good on Lando, he gets undeserved hate for some reason overall he doesn’t seem like a bad guy, he’s been a top driver the past few years, McLaren just needed to put it all together which they did with this seasons rocket ship.

I think he gets a lot of undeserved hate because of the way McLaren handled him vs Oscar this year. A lot of people were pissed when Oscar was made to give him the position back in Monza. I actually thought that one was the correct call because Lando gave Oscar first option to pit because (I think) Charles was coming up behind him. Normally Lando would have been given pit priority in that situation.

How did you feel about the Weber Zuckerberg Red Bell situation years ago?
Let's face it, they're based in Shearwater not Australia.

Oscar the better driver. Just not the favourite driver within his team.

I don't understand the LAndo hate either...he makes some fuck ups but seems like a really nice bloke and clearly a flippin great driver. Hence winning.
