its just outdated, back in the day you couldnt watch every player any given night. The ASG was the only time you could see em. Guys now don't care. The league is overexposed, communication is easier than ever. It's no longer special.

Do something like the in-season tourney and the players will buy-in. Or have the winner have home court in the finals or something.

The main issue is there's no defense happening so what if they have a million dollar bonus for defensive player of the game.

That comes with the incentive though. Both sides will play defense if they buy-in

It isn’t just NBA… all these ‘all star’ / ‘Pro-bowl’ games are built on the model of the 60’s and 70’s where a famous athlete’s salary was, 6 times a successful man’s salary.. create a TV show.. It’s just not realistic. I do stand by the 65 game model on all-NBA, MVP stuff tho…. You have to do something to make the regular season meaningful… again, watered down by TV. It’s starting to hurt the NFL, and it’s been hurting the NBA for a while. Make it the top 6 in each conference, for the postseason… guys will play more regular season games. Now we got this play-in nonsense…. It’s really watered down the season.
