Good video and also a good microcosm of the good/bad of Brooks: starting out with a couple minutes of unfunny voice impressions and then getting into really important analysis that is both ideological and practical. And, of course, pointing out the glaring hypocrisy of David Frum, who is a disaffected right-winger implicitly claiming that Bernie Sanders is not committed enough to the trans community and to left-wing social politics generally because he chooses to focus on practical universal policy programs rather than (enough) meaningless and social group-specific pandering.
Seriously, let's appreciate
just how incredibly bad faith this is coming
from a right-winger:
And this is despite Sanders being, as Burgess pointed out, more effective pro-trans rights
in the 1980s than Elizabeth Warren had been during her pre-trans-as-a-prominent-public-issue Senate career.
