Federal taxes are withheld along with STATE sales tax and every other tax in TX. And if you do not understand that federal funds are then distributed to states for the programs you are worried that are costing so much.
But yes I understand ther is no specific Texas state income tax. They make it up in other taxation, do you agree?

I have property in Wyoming and in Colorado.
Income tax by the state of Colorado and not in Wyoming but the sales/property/fuel/use taxes easily make up for it.
Colorado has income tax and less property tax and more mmj and alcohol to make up for the population. I'm fine with either way but the point is, they get their money somewhere if not un state income tax. It's the economy stupid.

Just admit you made a miatake. You assumed Texas had a state income tax. It's ok. You obviously don't live here.

There is $0 being paid to the state of Texas (as you stated) that will eventually be refunded (As you stated) to Texans. End of story.

I'm surprised there hasn't been any discussion of this scumbag or his apparent support in the state of Iowa.

National - I predict that nothing will change and outside of a couple of younger dems winning local elections in already blue areas, Republicans will retain their stranglehold on Congress.

In my state of Illinois I predict Pritzker (D) to beat Rauner (R) for governor. I didn't vote for Pritzker in the primary cuz his entire campaign was around being anti Trump, and believe or not that's not good enough for me.

But I think Pritzker wins cuz the state didn't improve under Rauner at all. And I've seen a lot of Pritzker signs in rural areas that are otherwise hardcore conservative. Which shocked me when I'd drive through several rural counties and saw that.

Back to the topic at hand. Recent polls are confirming my previous predictions:

  • Manchin (D) will win
  • Blackburn (R) will win
However, polling in Arizona is off. McSally (R) will win there. Also, I've got Hawley (R) over McCaskill (D).


Harris/McCready is one of the most interesting races this year. McCready has the credentials, but he's too young and Harris has awesome delivery/look.

Yeah, where are all the right wingers denouncing this guy? How come he's going to win yet again? This guy has been in office over a decade already. His views are not new, nor is the rebel flag on his desk. Fuckin' guy isn't even in a rebel state. Isn't that a pretty clear message?
