Elections 2018 Midterms: Polls, predictions and results.

I voted. Said no thanks to the sticker.

Had 2 write ins for dead people. Quite a bit more R than D, because the Ds call people names when they don't fully prescribe to the ideology, are cultish right now, and they don't deserve anything for that.

No, that's a wash at best. If Dems take the House by only a small margin, they have underperformed.

If they flip the House, they get to cock-block pretty much everything Trump tries to do, and have a shot at starting Impeachment. By any standards, that's a win.

how about for once, like the first time since Clinton swindled the Gingrich led Congress, we get some actual cooperation and compromising (assuming the Dems take a slight majority in the House)

this constant obstruction bs policy from both sides when the other has control got old like day one.

I'm expecting this to be wildly unpredictable in terms of ballot measures passing, candidates chosen, etc. Due mainly to the large turnout. Having a ton of first time voters or low information voters tends to make things unpredictable.

That said, it should favor the left more than the right. But who knows, polls are so hard to judge by after last election.

Just voted, God bless Florida and the US of A

I expect to wake up tomorrow to hear the Democrats have flipped the House. Hell, it wouldn't entirely shock me if they took the Senate as well, although from my(extremely)limited understanding of American politics, I believe this would be far more difficult for them to achieve.

Blue Wave is very real and will drown quite a few Republicans is my prediction.

If Republicans win anything it's a clear case of Russian collusion

not like we're dealing w/ adults paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to legislate....

oh wait

They'll cooperate when their lobbyists tell them to and with whom.

They'll cooperate when their lobbyists tell them to and with whom.
it was bad before (hence the McCain Feingold proposed Campaign Finance Bill in the 90s) but Citizens United was the deathknell to constituencies actually having their views being taken seriously

it's a damn shame, really, and the entire reason we have Neolib and Neocon politicians largely running things

I thought it was self-explanatory: Dems win enough seats to flip the House.
That's not how most people use the term, as that's a neutral outcome. A "wave" would need to be at least > +35 D net, really more like +40--50. Also, why not consider the Senate?

That’s not a blue wave.

They would need to take both houses for it to be a wave.
Moving the tide markers?

Wave is a subjective term, and idiot Trump trolls are all going to play that up as hard as they can. Nothing new, just idiots being idiots.

I voted for Gillum and Bill Nelson during early voting a couple weeks ago.
