idk. I think I'm at my fullest level of cynicism when it comes to politics. I can't be outraged by this because I feel like this is information that I already knew.

Nobody is outraged? I've been laughing at the whole thing. I think around age 16 was the last time I thought politicians were honest.

I find it funny that most of those who are ripping into Melania for plagiarism [which is not only theft, but a lie as well, via misrepresentation] are also voting another Clinton, of the Hillary vintage, for President of the United States.

Is it SO impossible to merely concede that, yes, Melania plagiarized, without needing to couch it with "But... but... but Hilary!" We know Hilary is a goof. But Melania plagiarizing has nothing to do with Hilary.

I found irony in it, and decided to point out that Melania's husband Trump, is running against Hillary Clinton, who is known for her honesty and integrity.

There was much more said during the convention than what is contained in Melania Trump's speech, yet it is SO impossible to merely concede that.

And if you are condemning Melania, rightfully so, while casting a vote for Hillary, you might want to examine your priorities. That was my point, and what I found ironic.

I have no idea. Someone either purposely wrote that in, thinking it would get past people, or wrote it (and the Rick Roll) in to troll and make Melania look like a complete moron.

It's not a huge deal to me, the wives of Presidents always take too much slack (same happens when Michelle goes sleeveless - who the hell cares?), it was just a really dumb thing to do or one hell of a troll job.

Either way I would think it is a bad look for Trump's ability to pick people to work for him. Either he picked someone wildly incompetent as a speech writer, or a person who intentionally is making his campaign look stupid.

I think this has been Trump's work from the start. He spends a fraction of what his opponents do on ads, and still gets the most airtime on news networks.

He gives the leftist media reporters low hanging fruit like this, because he knows they'll jump on it and give him more airtime on their networks. While everyone is talking about Melania's speech, no one is talking about Hillary. Bad publicity is still good publicity if you handle it properly.

Maybe it was a fuck up, who knows lol. I just think it's very clever how it all played out. There is a lot of mock outrage over a non-issue really, and the only two names being mentioned are Michelle Obama and Melania Trump.
