Plagiarism like that will get you kicked out of any institution worth a shit. You can equivocate all you want. It is intellectual dishonesty.

This ripped-off speech speaks a bit to a much bigger issue for Trump in this campaign. The repeated contradictions to the "It's okay I don't have experience or understanding in this or that area of politics...because I surround myself with the absolute best and smartest people and they will be advising me".

Same thing he said about the professors at Trump U, then he had to fire his campaign manager, then he allegedly was asking staffers if he could renege on his VP pick at the very last minute and he doesn't even trust the guy enough to answer a softball questions in an interview, and now the speech writer he hired couldn't have blown it any harder. Hardly seems like someone with a GOAT nose for talent or intelligence.

So is the trump campaign saying it was a coincidence? That's what it sounds like.

But...

this isn't the intellectual community.
Herp derp. Also in politics and the business world.

You're not doing yourself any favors by acting like you don't grasp that dishonesty is seen as a negative in pretty much any environment.

Trump just rolled out his new campaign slogan

Is that what he said? Or did he say it was superior to all others? There's a difference. I honestly have not watched it, but will because you describe it differently than the clip headline. I agree there is nothing to be shamed about western civ. I think it is the best. But i don't think you have to sink other boats to have yours rise.

I was born and raised in Iowa. Regardless of what King said here, he is the absolute worst
The white cuck on the left and the black woman played the "angry racist white Republican" card, and King rebutted them. King defended white people, and all of the sudden, he's the racist one.

That's a major problem with the left. They want to be openly racist against whitey but when white people bring up points that doesn't fit their narratives, it's somehow racist and just shows how racist white people are in their minds.

id say western civilization has been running the worlds show for the past 2000 years or so; King is not wrong in that.

So what you're saying is that dishonesty doesn't belong in politics and the business world?

What are you, 16?

Ripping on white people = not racist
White people defending themselves from those attacks = racist

At least in the minds of progressives. You'll notice how none of them are leaving predominantly white western societies to go elsewhere in the world.

you can at least be intelligent if you are going to be dishonest - in 2016, it is beyond inept to plagiarize portions of a speech that the incumbent delivered. It took people all of an hr to find out about it.

this is true.

I'm saying being CAUGHT lying in any environment makes you look bad. We're not children. It's like peds in sports. We know most guys are using. Getting caught is still a huge career blemish.

We know politicians lie, spin, and deflect for a living. Being caught red handed lying is a bad look though. That's literally always been the case.

I don't disagree, but I'm still team apathetic.

I bet Trump divorces her and orders a new one from Eastern Europe right after the election.

My question is whether it's actually possible to be so incompetent as to plagiarize the current first lady while campaigning against her party. If it were any other campaign I would be convinced it was sabotage.

I passed out for an hour and woke up to see that on Facebook. It's almost the same thing.

I'm not going to pretend like this is a big deal but goddamn whoever wrote that speech is quite the amateur to think they weren't going to get busted.

Surprisingly, CNN keeping it pretty real saying in this type of situation you fire an intern and keep it moving. Trying to deflect will only make it a bigger issue.

Sorta surprised they had the balls to say that.
