You're right, my language was too strong. Apologies.
If we're going to throw on our psychoanalytical hats, I think IDL is half conspiracy theorist and half troll-- and I believe that because his evolution happened right infront of our eyes.
He isn't like the now legendary Payak, who over his five year tenure on this message board slowly went from an amateur fighter worried about his broken nose to a Muay Thai pro with over 300 fights who once gave Jomhod a run for his money, a transformation that was so subtle it went unnoticed... IDL came in as a reasonable young libertarian, but then started making threads like "omg I read this article on this alternative news site, is this true?" and "Holy cow, how does Israel exist when we know about the Scrolls of the Elder Zion!"
Of course, a problem immediately arose: he was proven wrong. A lot. And this sucked, because he was beginning to develop all these elaborate conspiracy theories about our world, and by being wrong so much, he kept having to remake these theories.
To resolve this, he started being intentionally vague almost to a comical extent. He would make these bold claims, then when pressed for information, he simply replied with the fact that he has done so much research that he couldn't possibly relay what he had learned to us and even if he could, it would cheapen the experience of finding out for ourselves. It is like he went around the comment sections on all these alternative news websites and took all the keywords he could find and made a persona out of it. He still believes these conspiracy theories, but his posting style is an act to prevent being embarrassed again.
After the way-too-much-fun Bingo fiasco, he's widened his vocabulary and doesn't really make predictions anymore, simply responds to any pro-Russian or race-involved thread with snide "I told you, my predictions are all coming true!!!" remarks. He still believes everything he says, but his posting style is one big facade.
Eh? Wadya think?
