If a ref calls a bad offside, you give the attacking team a free kick? If he misses an offside and the attackers score, do you discount the goal and give the defending team a free kick? Who decides when to check the replay?

In the case of the Mexico game, they scored three goals, technically, but only one counted because the other two were erroneously called offsides.

I think they could do what they do in American football: anytime a team scores (or appears to score), the officials review it. Something like Maradona's "Hand of God" would not hold up in this scenario.

So, at least 5 more World Cups before we see any changes about that.... well, it is what it is.

Even if the linesman if punish for such blatant mistake, it's not even that bad. The assistant ref of Mexico/Cameroon was suspended for only one game.

he scored and played good like the rest of the team.

france ran a train on the swiss last night, not much of a test tbh.
 
Now that we're talking about adding some changes to the game I've been wanting to ask you, What do you think about the idea of adding more subs during the game? Go from three to five. Or if any substitutions is made during half time it doesn't affect the three they're allowed to make.
 
So this group has African Muslims, European Muslims and middle eastern Muslims.

Holland won 5-1 vs Spain. Struggled a bit vs Australia, but won 3-2.

France beat Honduras (weak team) and Switzerland 5-2.

Limit that to 3 and then 3 normal subs could be worth trying i suppose.
 
I don't see why video replay couldn't be tested out in some minor irrelevant league like the mls and if it works then add it to important tournaments and leagues.
 
Imo Goal keeper should have gotten a yellow for being an ass.
