Compete in 4-5 Ibjj tournaments

get better at grappling and continue developing everything I'm working on

Start training a lot more and more consistently again. 2012 has been mostly maintenance mode.

1. As many comps as possible, which may only be 4.

2. Develop a scary good closed guard and mount.

3. Blue belt

4. More standing leg lock entries.

Rack up the golds. At least half a dozen across the board, local and bigger comps at advanced.

Get at least 2 golds for every silver and below.

And medal in an absolute advanced cat.

Compete in the highest experience division regardless.

Train GI 4 days a week, show up early/stay late to drill extra at least 2 of those days.

Compete 3 times.

Learn to relax more and spaz less.

Breathe.

Avoid injury.

I think it's a great idea to track your mat time. Classes attended, techniques worked, and, hours sparring.

2012

109 classes attended.

133 hours sparring.

2013 *goals

150 classes.

200 hr's rolling.

Goals for 2013:

I'm hoping to compete in my first grappling tournament(Naga) this late January.

Come June 2013 I'll be 2 years in training BJJ consistently.

I want to see if a blue belt will be in my future this year.

I want to keep training and looking to improve as time passes.

Compete more. Including NO-GI and MMA.

Maintain strength levels but increase Cardio much more. Cardio is King!

Review, refine current techniques but looking to increase striking and takedowns.

-Attend class more after I get a damn job.

- Get back down to featherweight.

-Just improve in general.

-Compete

-Get Red Belt

-Drill everyday (at least 100 reps a day)

-Get Renata Laranja to retweet me at least once

I am looking forward to 2013 because 2012 was an injury year for me which included a surgery and a recovery. My training was not consistent. I poured over books and instructionals while I was out of action and also got a good cardio base with cross training but 2013 is going to be a year of progress for me.
1. Maintain my body in the gym to stay injury free and even do the seemingly pointless physio type exercises
2. Train at minimum 2 times a week.
3. Purple.

Earn a blue belt
drop some more weight and would love to get some visible abs
win some matches in a tournament.

-Create some flowcharts to map out a more solid game for myself
-Work on my wrestling a bit more
-Increase my sessions to about 3 per day (one s/c session, one drilling, one normal class)
-Win New York Open at whatever belt I'm at (blue or purple)
-At least place at Worlds at whatever belt I'm at (get first if blue, at least medal if purple)
-Bulk up so that I can cut a small amount of weight to 125 of solid muscle (yes I am that tiny)
-Win No-Gi Pan Ams at purple belt

-Compete as much as possible.
-Get better a wreslting.
-Keep being the bjj gym rat that i am :icon_chee
-Stay injury free.

Mine is to win gold in my division at a tournament I'm competing in at the end of this month. Also, I want to improve my tornado guard and de la Riva guard. Then, I want to get my blue belt but I have to win gold first

Enter my first competition, and hopefully win my first match.
Maintain my training of at least 3 times a week.
Convince myself to train more no-gi, even though I love me some gi.
Try to be a little more aggressive while still being controlled.
