Crime 2 Escaped American XL Bulldogs kill 22 pregnant ewes and maul 46 before being shot dead in Wales

This might sound messed up but...

Is anyone else a little bit impressed that 2 dogs did THAT much damage?

I mean, if you told me 2 dogs took out 5 ewes, I'd say, ok, that makes sense. they were probably REALLY hungry. But these numbers? Wow.. just wow.

Update 13:

_132516121_xl_bully_2x640-nc.png.webp

New restrictions on XL bully dogs are being introduced in Scotland from the 23rd of February.

It will be legal to own one of the dogs but they must be muzzled and on a lead in public from that date. Selling or exchanging them will be banned.

And from the 31st of July it will be an offence to own an XL bully without an exemption certificate.
The regulations mirror those in England and Wales but certificates will be required there from Thursday.

Penalties for breaching the new safeguards are up to six months imprisonment and/or a fine up to £5,000.

The Scottish government followed suit after an increasing number of the animals were being rehomed in the country from across the border, creating what First Minister Humza Yousaf

described as a 'flow' of the dogs. Earlier this month Mr Yousaf said the decision was made to 'ensure public safety'.

Update 14:

A grandmother has died after being attacked by two dogs described as XL Bullies while visiting her 11-year-old grandson in Essex.

Police were called to an address in Jaywick, Essex, after 4pm on Saturday where officers found the victim, named by her family as Esther Martin, seriously injured.

The 68-year-old, from Woodford Green, London, was pronounced dead at the scene.

[The attack]... comes just days after it became a criminal offence to own an XL Bully, with all existing dogs required to wear a muzzle and be kept on a lead.

The National Police Chiefs’ Council said they had been informed that around 40,000 dog owners had registered their pets since the ban was announced by Rishi Sunak in September.

But the Met also warned as many as 10,000 of the animals could be without a certificate of exemption, which is now required under law.

Both dogs... were killed by police.

A 39-year-old man arrested on suspicion of dangerous dog offences following the death of a 68-year-old grandmother has been released on conditional bail until March 5, Essex Police said.

Another day, another mauling death caused by these despicable animals. FUCKING CULL them, the ban isn't working.

Update 15

Tuesday the 23rd of January

ARMED police shot a dog dead after it hospitalised two men in an attack in a Scottish town.

Officers were called to the Tinto View area of Hamilton on Tuesday evening after reports of a 'large bulldog-type dog' attacking a man.

The man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment for 'life-threatening injuries', police said.

Armed officers were deployed to the scene 'due to the dog being dangerously out of control'.

Police said the dog attempted to attack an officer and was 'shot dead by armed police'.

A second man was also attacked by the same dog shortly before that incident, which was reported at around 5pm.

The first attack happened on Loudonhill Avenue and the victim was taken to Hairmyres Hospital for treatment for minor injuries.

Sunday the 18th of February

An XL Bully has been shot dead by police after it attacked and injured three people in Scotland, ITV News can confirm.

Armed officers were called to Mannering, East Kilbride at around 10.25am on Sunday to reports of a dog attacking a 14-year-old Border Collie.

The elderly dog had a lucky escape thanks to a teenage boy, who prised open the XL Bully's jaws and rescued the Collie.

Police Scotland attempted to restrain the 'dangerously out of control' dog. Officers fired multiple shots and the dog was killed.

Three people were injured during the incident.

While Police Scotland is yet to officially establish the breed of the dog, ITV News can confirm it was an XL Bully named Kilo.

The dog had recently been brought to Scotland from England to evade the ban on XL Bullies there, ITV News understands.

Update 16:

The carnage continues...

Monday 18th of March

This is the shocking moment Londoners ran to escape a 'dangerously out of control' XL bully on a rampage before it was shot dead by police.

Four men were rushed to hospital and two people were arrested following the incident in south west London.

Chaotic CCTV video has emerged from around the time of the attack, showing a group of people running in terror, closely followed by the grey beast.

Other people can be seen bravely trying to capture the dog, but it continues to run riot and chase after people.

Armed police were called to the incident, on the 18th of March, in Battersea at around 10pm.

A second video shows police and ambulance crews descending on the scene, before armed officers later shot the dog due to the threat it posed to the public.

Four men were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries following the horrific attack.

A 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman have also been arrested on suspicion of being the owner or person in charge of a dog dangerously out of control.

It came just weeks after another unmuzzled XL bully launched an 'unprovoked' attack on a mother and her two children in Battersea park last month.

The dog attacked the women and her children, aged one and two, as they entered the playground at Latchmere Recreation Ground, south London on the 2nd of February.

The woman - who wished to remain anonymous - claims the unleashed XL bully 'launched itself on the pram' carrying her one-year-old daughter, tipping it over and biting the child.

Note: You can read about this attack here. While it is shocking in that it involves an XL Bully launching an unprovoked attack on a two year old, and a one year old in a pram, their bites were treatable at home. So I didn't rate it as serious enough to have its own full entry.

Thursday 21st March

A three-year-old boy needed surgery to his face after he was 'mauled' by an XL bully in Doncaster, police have said.

The family pet, registered due to its breed, bit the boy after he was allowed to climb on the dog on Monday.

Due to the nature of his injuries police were called.

Chief Inspector Emma Cheney,

from South Yorkshire Police, said: 'A dog's instinct to protect itself is to bite. Parents should ensure children learn to respect a dog's space.'

Yorkshire Ambulance Service took the boy to the hospital where he required surgery, a force spokesperson said.

That last bit is infuriating. Fuck that bitch. Why are people putting dogs ahead of children and saying it's the kids' fault?

Xl bullies are the big ones that are pitbulls mixed with larger bulldogs and mastiffs correct? The little short fat ones that are mixed with English bulldogs are always friendly when I see then
