16 days until Obama leaves office

I think I've learned that I'm not part of a victim group more than anything else during this admin.

You could look at it two ways:

Obama didn't change anything or pass any meaningful reform. But in doing nothing, he also didn't fuck anything up.

EDIT: He did fuck one thing up, the Navy came away from the Abbottabad raid with a fuck ton of intel about al-Qaeda, which became obsolete the moment Obama announced to the world that "He" had killed Bin Laden. So every Islamic extremist in Bin Ladens playbook went to ground in 'Stan, Syria and Iraq instead of staying out in the open. All the military would have needed was a week to fly some drone raids and maybe the west could have had a head start on ISIS

Give me an intelligent, unemotional answer detailing what you are afraid will happen if Trump is elected, Clippy. Refrain from such silly statements like "Trump's a racist!" or "Trump wants to make America white again!" or "Trump's going to genocide Mexicans!" Thank you.

Not a bright post, that information was coming out the next day no matter what.

It's even harder to prove.

I don't really care if you agree or disagree. Not every discussion is about something provable. However for the sake of clarity let me ask you this. Do you think race relations have improved in the last decade?

To be clear, I don't think it's Obama's fault that race relations went downhill, I just think he could of done a lot to improve it and failed pretty hard. I can't think of any racial issue that he brought people together on

It's nothing I can say either way whether race relations have improved or deteriorated. But I was born in the aftermath of the MLK actual race riots so my perspective may be different.
If I had to venture an opinion I'd say they've improved, since black issues have found a new cultural visibility and voice

Hey I remember shit being crazy in the late 80s early 90s. Then they stabalized. Now shit is heading back that direction. That visibility and voice is largely divisive though.

Not really. The black community doesn't have a widely respected leader anymore whose assassination would upset millions.

Until Obama leaves office :(

Why are people excited for him to leave? Why do people hate him so bad? HAVE YOU NOT SEEN THE PEOPLE VYING FOR HIS SEAT?!?!?!

This makes my mind cry

It will be nice when we can keep terrorists on the FBI watch list instead of instructing them to not profile the poor innocent Muslims. Well, too bad that won't happen because it will be more of the same nonsense with Hillary.

Why would you think that would be difficult? He's proposing that the gov't borrow billions annually to send checks to rich people (deficit-financed tax cuts for the rich), which would have the full support of Congress; he's insanely tactless and impulsive and has made a lot of really stupid/scary comments about foreign policy, which opens up a lot of terrible possibilities in terms of war; he's said openly that he thinks that climate change is a hoax led by China, which is a good sign that he wouldn't do anything about it and would likely reverse progress already made; he wants to repeal financial reform, which increases the likelihood of another crisis; he knows nothing about courts, and would likely make terrible appointments, including to the SCOTUS (best-case scenario is that he just outsources that decision to his party, which is still terrible). And, yeah, his overt racism would be hugely harmful in a lot of ways, too.

That almost makes my entire point. I agree there isn't any real respected leadership in the black community, but how can this be when the POTUS is a black man? This is why I think Obama has done an AWFUL job with race relations

Do you really think that simply because he has black skin, getting elected would turn him into Dr Martin Luther King?

How exactly did Obama make America more racist?

I agree he handled race issues poorly, but those types of issues existed before and will exist after his presidency.

Personally, I think people have used Obama as an excuse to show their true colors.
He legitimatized the BLM horseshit by playing them lipservice on a national stage yet fails to call them out on their hypocrisy. Obama is a huge pussy.

You'd call any tax cut on the rich deficit financed tax cuts. And no I don't belive he will be writing checks to rich people. You mean to say the government won't be able to pry as much money from them which will hurt the deficit. How you portrayed it is incredibly doshonest
