even if they werent, they probably couldnt form a coherent plan to defeat the gorilla.


they would have to be trained with animal knowledge, combat knowledge, and then trained to overcome fear in life threatening combat and be able to operate as a unit when things go wrong and people start dying. because once one person hits that flight instinct, so will everyone else.

I understand everyone appreciates the raw power of a full size silverback but let's be real.

Assuming that the strawmen won't just turn and run in fear and are all 100% in it to fight to the death; you're talking about a 450 pound gorilla vs 3600 pounds of human gorilla..... if everyone just converges on the gorilla at once it's over real fast.

^This. The Gorilla would tear through them. Even if they fought together they'd still get crushed with the absence of weapons. I'm shocked this thread made it to 23 pages, lol.
 
Theres no way all 12 men could attack the Gorilla at the same time, at most maybe 4-6. The Gorilla individually is much stronger and more durable than a human, its not like the 12 men can merge together into one superhuman to take on the gorilla, or use all their weight at the same time. Its not one 3500lb man with the strength of 12 strongmen, its 12 individual men who are each much more frail and weaker than the gorilla, they would not have much of a chance. Now give them some basic weapons like pocket knives or sharpened stick or basically any type of sharp/bladed weapon and they would be able to kill the gorilla.
 
Who posts on a year old thread to bring it up again? Do people not have anything to say but then think of something a year later and search for the thread or how exactly does it happen?

I actually considered making a thread titled "Zookeeper with rifle vs Silverback" where they are in a fight to the death in the octagon and the rifle is in the middle of the octagon at the beginning of the fight.

Concur. The strong men, even if worked into a fearless frenzy, find that that they each have 30 seconds of gas to work with.

The men would win, gorillas are close to extinction for a reason. If they were the badass as sherdog portrays them maybe they would have bigger numbers still. Stop watching King Kong movies, why is it that I've never seen a gorilla throw a car if they are 10x stronger than humans? People here overrate gorillas so much it's ridiculous. 12 men would just surround it and chase it away. Gorillas aren't the most aggressive animals to begin with.
 
Gorilla can also bite your head off with one chomp.
