No fights on this card (other than shakurs) are a foregone conclusion. What I really love about this card is how competitive almost every fight is, which is incredibly rare in boxing nowadays. So who you got!

Bivol vs Beterbiev - Bivol SD - pure guess work as I have no idea. I’m picking bivol as the (slightly) better boxer being able to make better adjustments and age. I also want him to win so he gets my vote

Dubois vs Parker - Dubois KO - as much as Joe has improved, it’s marginal and not the huge strides some claim he’s made. His last 2 wins were good but in reality he beat a heavily protected can crusher and a very dangerous and skilled puncher with no stamina. He can definitely out manoeuvre/out box Dubois for a bit, and he’s got a great chin but his problem is Dubois gas tank and constant pressure. I see similarities with the Joyce fight in this. Lots of early success but problems when he tires. Dubois is still improving (more than Joe imo), Hits as hard as anyone in the division and is a problem for every one at HW. I’ll be Cheering for Parker though

Adames vs Sheeraz - Sheeraz KO - good fight that I don’t think will last long. I think there’s 2 fighters in this division who are a level above the rest, and sheeraz as is one of them. This isn’t a foregone conclusion though

Stevenson vs Schofield - Stevenson UD - easiest fight to pick on the card. Probably gonna have a spliff break during this one

Ortiz vs Madrimov - (flips coin) heads I’ll go with Ortiz - no idea, not seen enough of either but it looks a great fight. A real 50/50 for me

Zhang vs Kabayal - Kabayal TKO - I’m not too confident on this one cus of zhangs power, but it’s an intriguing clash of styles. Can Kabayal stay conscious long enough for zhang to gas. I think he can and he’ll stop an exhausted zhang late after some tough moments early I the fight

Buatsi vs Smith - Buatsi UD - another really good fight where I don’t really know who to pick. What has smith got left after a long career and a recent beating? If he’s close to his best I think he beats Buatsi, he’s the better fighter and has better fundamental’s. However, as well as his beating to Beterbiev he’s been way to inactive so I’ll go Buatsi for a close and hard fought fight. Personally really looking forward to this one

Very good breakdown that makes sense all around. I tend to agree with every pick, including Bivol - this one is all about gut feeling -, this side of Ortiz vs Madrimov. In this 50/50 I favor Madrimov for some reason. Ortiz can adjust during a fight, he's shown us he could against Bohachuk, that being said I still think Madrimov is the better boxer. I wouldn't bet the farm on him, obviously.

Maybe Adames can pull a win. I still pick Sheeraz, though.

I'm tentatively picking Bivol. I have no way of knowing of course, but I have the feeling the loss lit a fire under Bivol so he trained his ass off and game planned to make the adjustments necessary, while Beterbiev seems like he's going to do what worked the first time. In the first fight I thought he could've done more to steal rounds and I think he'll try to do that this time. Better gas tank, more output, don't let Beterbiev just smash his guard like last time. He has the ring IQ to do it.

But of course this time Artur's knee is better so that may be a factor.

I'm picking Dubois and Madrimov for their fights.

I can't pick against Beterbiev. Every time I have, he's beaten who I've picked. I gotta go with him to beat Bivol. I dunno if Biev can knock him out, but I think he wins.

Also picking Parker, Madrimov, Kabayel and Smith for their respective fights.

And I really hope Shakur loses

Originally I was going to pick Beterbiev by stoppage, but I don’t like what I’ve seen in terms of his prep. Granted I’m not in his camp, but I do know that arriving to Saudia Arabia 1 week before the fight is far from optimal. He also has been doing a million public engagement events right in the middle of camp and has a camera crew following him around. Bivol on the other hand has held his entire training camp in Turkey sequestered at a resort with minimal distractions and within a similar timezone as the fight, he seems to be doing everything in his power to up his output from the few videos I’ve seen, I think Bivol will win a comfortable decision and he’ll look even faster and more explosive than last fight, Beterbiev will look sluggish and won’t get out of 2nd gear and this is the fight where the collective fan base will say age finally caught up. I hope I’m wrong because Beterbiev is my guy, would love nothing more than to see KO Bivol.

I won’t cry if I’m wrong, because I’m a fan of Artur, but I think Bivol adjusts and edges the rematch. Decision.

I’ll take Dubois Ortiz and Zhang, and won’t pretend to know enough about the rest to gander a guess.

Beterbiev by late stoppage or hard fought decision but Bivol could pull it off.

Dubois by KO but Parker's proven me wrong before.

Sheeraz

Stevenson

Ortiz vs Madrimov could go either way. I'll take Madrimov but not totally confident in this one.

Zhang vs Kabayel I could also see going either way. Similar to what you said if Kabayel can stick around until Zhang gases then he should win. Kabayel has the best body attack in the division so Zhang may tire out even quicker. I'll hesitantly take Kabayel.

Smith by KO

I'm worried about the same thing. Maybe it's all just what's shown on camera and Beterbiev is training hard as always behind the scenes. I'm not a bigger fan of either guy; I just want to see the best out of both guys as a fan of the sport. I wouldn't want a Bivol win because Beterbiev was slacking off. I only want a Bivol win just so we get a trilogy. I just wish Beterbiev was younger so we can get more fights out of him.

Bivol by UD
Sheeraz by KO
Schoefield by KO (Yea)
Ortiz by KO
Draw
Buatsi by SD

Agreed. It doesn't help that Ortiz keeps getting into life and death wars in every fight. I don't see much longevity left fighting the way he does.

i have no idea who wins the main event, there are so many factors, Bievs knee is better but he arrived late, Bivol knows what he is facing this time round, but he could be facing an even better Beterbiev who doesnt have a dodgy knee..i cant wait

I'd love to see Parker win, but i cant see it happening, but w enever really know with Dubois, in his two fights he has lost, he has quit, like full on proper gave up when the going was a little tough, what will happen if Parker takes him late and starts landing on him like he did Wilder. I think Dubois is rightly the favourite but i wouldn't count Parker out, plus it wont help that Dubois already has his heart set on a Usyk rematch

Dubois may have a more down-to-earth performance after that huge AJ win in Wembley in front of 90,000. I still lean Dubois but a Parker decision is very possible IMO.

Bivol v Beterbiev - On the night, I thought Bivol won. I re-watched it today, and it was a clear Beterbiev win, not even sure why it was debatable... having watched it back through sober eyes; the first 4-5 rounds were close, though still had Bivol only clearly winning 2 rounds out of the first 5-6. Then after that... He spent like 70% of rounds just covering up and moving about, getting bopped up; Beterbiev controlled the pace and had way more output and landed the better exchanges, despite the odd moments from Bivol. Only round 9 did he clearly win beyond then.... people saying he won 12 are insane lol, watch it back.

Anyway, I want Bivol to win, but I'm not so confident he can now. I think he's the better boxer, despite not havingt he power, but I think if he's just a bit more aggressive and just more output, he can do it.

Going with Bivol by MD.

Dubois v Parker - I think it could be a good fight, or Dubois could just blow him out the water, at any point - or potentially very quickly. Most likely Dubois KO of course, and I think... had it been a few years ago... Parker would have had more of a chance, but after what he did to Joshua and the mindset he's in - I think Dubois is just like 'f you I'm giving nobiody any respect' and will try steamroll everyone like this now, not letting them get a shot off. So, if Parker can survive that onslaught without getting caught... he might have a chance, but the idea of Dubois not catching him all night is slim.

Dubois by KO within 5.

Anyone else find it really hard to read threads with this new format? I cant tell whats a quote.

am i the only one who thinks parker will take dubois to school?

i think he'll avoid the power and gas him out, then overwhelm him for the stoppage.
