More money, less soul.
The "UFC is dying" memers don't realise that people complaining about western MMA losing it's spirit aren't saying that a bland, sanitised, corporate sports product isn't going to be profitable. We all know it is. We're not saying that the sky is falling and that the UFC will be bankrupt before we know it. We're saying that the soul of the sport has already been sold off and that MMA, the UFC in particular, can be way more than it is now.
2020 is 9 months away, nothing much is changing between now and then.
If 'the soul of the sport has already been sold off' I'm fine with that (whatever the fuck it even means), earlier start times and quicker paced events have been great recently.
